For a teenager with absurdly high standards and wants their computer running hot all the time, then yes it would be future-proof for 3-5 years. **Q: Does it come with Avx-512 set instructions?** A: Hello! Thank you for your question. The Avx-512 is exclusive to the some Xeon processors. This being an i9 processor, does not count with that instruction set. Thank you for choosing Intel. **Q: does it come in the original packaging aka what is shown in the pictures?** A: Exactly as shown in the pictures. Lots of pointless packaging. Personally I'd prefer it was packaged like the NVMe drive, but then packaging does not impress me. **Q: How long will this cpu be relevant?** A: Hi there. Thank you for your question. The 12th Gen Intel Core processors are the first based on Intel 7 process technology and the new performance hybrid architecture. They were launched in 2021 with a lot of advanced technologies to enable major performance gains across a wide range of today's PC workloads. Thank you for choosing Intel! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 最高の相棒 *by on Reviewed in Japan June 30, 2026* 購入して約二年、最高の相棒になっています。 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all wat I needed for the next coming 5 years *by on Reviewed in Japan July 14, 2023* I purchase this CPU 1 year ago and it cost me 74,000 JPY back then.the price didn't drop much since that time and the performance is satisfying so far.the new generation spec is higher so if you want to buy this CPU don't. instead, you can buy i7 Gen13 as it will have the same spec plus a better cache than the 12 Gen.it might be better to buy the K version in case you have issues with your GPU to troubleshoot. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Intel最後の希望（当面） *by on Reviewed in Japan December 9, 2024* 15世代”core ultra”のレビューを見て絶望し、12600Kから載せ替え。私の環境ではあまり向上を感じていません笑仕様変更によりショボくなったパケを見てショックを覚えつつ、3年前の（ほぼ）フラッグシップを携えてIntelの勝利を信じて待ちます。 ## Frequently Bought Together - Intel Core i9-12900K Gaming Desktop Processor with Integrated Graphics and 16 (8P+8E) Cores up to 5.2 GHz Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset 125W - ARCTIC MX-4 (4 g) - Premium Performance Thermal Paste for All Processors (CPU, GPU - PC), Very high Thermal Conductivity, Long Durability, Safe Application, Non-Conductive - ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi LGA 1700(Intel 14th,12th &13th Gen) ATX Gaming Motherboard(PCIe 5.0,DDR5,4xM.2 Slots,16+1 DrMOS,WiFi 6,2.5Gb LAN,Front USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C,Thunderbolt 4(USB4),Aura RGB) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.lk/products/741469130-intel-corei9-processor-12900k-3-2ghz-up-to-5-2ghz](https://www.desertcart.lk/products/741469130-intel-corei9-processor-12900k-3-2ghz-up-to-5-2ghz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Sri Lanka* *Store origin: LK* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
