Good product
Seems to be an effective product for cardiovascular health. I have taken it for several years and myblood chemistry numbers are good.

16 years and no return blockage in arteries.
I had 4-way bypass surgery on my heart in July 2001 and the surgeon said that during the operation they found a 5th artery that wasn't critical but they decided to go ahead and repair since they were already there. My cholesterol has been 400-500 ever since I was a teenager. K-mart had a booth set up giving free cholesterol tests. The lady said I was a walking heart attack. I never had a heart attack, but I did have the surgery in 2001 after flunking a stress test. After my surgery they put me on Plavix to thin my blood. I heard a lot of bad things about blood thinners so I did some research and found a lot of studies on Policosanol. It helped keep your blood from clotting as much, lowered cholesterol, and help keep plaque from attaching to the artery walls. So I found what I considered at the time to be the best brand (Source Naturals) at the time and proceeded to take the maximum daily dose (20mg). I've not changed my diet (although I should have) and have had 2 heart cath's done since then and have had no problems. Sixteen years with no recurrence of the blockage. To me that's proof enough.

Ineffective
I used it for almost a year and it did not help lower my cholesterol. It was easy to swallow and had no side effects or other issues. Just wish it worked for me.

Numbers were down
The doctor prescribed a statin for my slightly high cholesterol and it increased my "jumpy leg" at night. I tried the Policosanol and my next test showed better numbers. I will continue with this until the next test in 6 months and see if it helps further.

No return policy
Unfortunately I couldn't use this product because it can interfere with baby aspirin. This was not found in the description and I couldn't return the unopened bottle for a refund
