Grimm's Rainbow Colored House 5-Piece Stacker - Wooden Nesting Puzzle/Building Blocks

I want to start by saying that I love Grimm's toys! My kids love to play with them, I love the look. But I find them hit or miss in quality/appearance. Which for the price, shouldn't the quality be there?The item I received, seemed to be a genuine Grimm's toy. Packaged well and arrived on time. The toy in question looks great if just stacked together, but there was some bleeding of the stain - see pictures. I'm sure I could return it and hope for a better quality rainbow house.... but my kids saw it and wanted to play with it right away. So it looks like we are stuck with it.

I love color, including rainbow colors. I have a couple of Grimm's great medium-sized wooden rainbows. I kept seeing this little house's picture, and it fascinated me. Knowing what the wood and paint is like from the rainbow pieces (I am allergic to the whole wide world, and these pieces are perfectly safe for me), I finally could no longer resist.I don't play with this, I display it on my work table in my study. It just keeps drawing my eye! Considering my eye allergy problems, that is a wonderful gift, too!Do I need another of these? Hmmmmmmm!Update: I bought another one! Like the first one, it seems perfect to me!

This is a wondefful toy. It allows for so much imaginative play.

Got my 15 month old this for Christmas this past year. It’s a great quality wood toy and it looks really cute on our shelf.

Very cute and vibrantly colored, just like the photos. Maybe a bit over priced but good quality and very sturdy.

My daughter (10 months) likes to chew on these and bang them together. I stack them up and she knocks them down. This is the second Grimm's toy I have purchased and hope to buy a lot more. I'd rather spend money on a few quality toys instead of plastic made in China.

Rainbow House is a wonderful idea but falls short. Although my children are careful when playing, they have nicked the edges a few times. There is no varnish on the outside what so ever

We use these for little houses for our wooden people, or reverse stacking to build a tall "house". They are well built and vibrant. We did, however, decide to coat them in a bees wax polish because they have a bit of a dry feeling to them since they are unfinished and are dyed instead of painted. Over all, we are happy with them. :)

Fabulous stacker toy that is well made and is a great open ended resource for my Granddaughter's play.
