乾電池と併用可能なところが良い

CR123A電池で利用してます。コンパクトなサイズにしては明るく160ｍまでの照射距離があるので普段使いではなんの不満もありません。ストリームライト特有のスイッチプログラムは自分には使い勝手がよく、ノーマルのままのハイ→ストロボ→ローのまま使っています。ローでも40ルーメンあり、シュアファイアの５ルーメンよりも明るく使い勝手が良いです。タップからクリックで常時点灯になるのも良い点ですね。軽くて持ち運びにも邪魔にならず、普段はズボンのポケットにクリップで取り付けて携帯しています。

手にすっぽり収まる大きさでしかも日本メーカーの遥かに筐体サイズの大きい他のLEDライトと比較してもかなり明るい、光量の分布もよく出来ていると思う。欲を言えばフォーカスコントロール機能があれば最高だがこのサイズではそれは贅沢というものかもしれない。よくある筐体のサイドにスイッチがあるタイプではなくタクティカルライトということでテールにスイッチがついている。この点もこのサイズにピッタリの位置である。加えて軽いので首からぶら下げることも出来るし、職種によっては肩に取り付けることも出来る。欠点はやはり本体サイズが小さいので電池の容量に限界があり、点灯時間はやや短いことか…それでも私のような夜間にかなりの時間使用する前提であってもかなりの時間保ってくれる。頻繁に使用する用途であっても１日は保つというのが私個人の使用感である。だから大概の場合、予備のバッテリーを１個持つだけで十分事足りる。総合的に見て良いライト、メインでも使えるし、サブでも良い。

自分は半年前から同モデルの黒を使用していたが、先日紛失してしまった為、折角なので別カラーのこちらを購入した。 Cr123a、aa何れでも点灯し10タッププログラムも正常、動作には異常はないが、どうしても気になる点が２つある。 一つは、cr123aを装填して使用時、振るとバネの揺れるシャカシャカという音がすること。 もう一つはaaを装填した際にそのままでは点灯せず、軽く叩いてやらないと点灯しないこと。 何れも以前の黒色の方には無かった症状である為、品質が下がったかハズレ個体を引いたか、ということだろうが評価は下げざるを得ない。

3個所有しているが、AA電池を一年間入れていたらCR123Aが使えなくなった。AA専用の高価なだけの欠陥品。

普段シュアファイアをメインで使用してます そのバックアップとして常に持ち歩いています 一般の方でしたら普段使いや鞄等に入れて置くと災害時に生存率が向上すると思います。

I like it for outdoor activities like camping and hiking. The switchable brightness and dual-size battery compartment are very handy.

This is Streamlight Protac 1l-1AA is a masterpiece! Excellent high output at 350 lumens, and very useful 40 lumen low. Nice useful beam pattern with a blend of throw and spill. Low voltage circuit can use up old CR123s, AA and even AAA with an adapter. Great every day light, truck light(with cold hardy lithiums) or survival light. The ten tap allows you the ability to run the tail switch as a high only, high/strobe/low, or my favourite edc setup up low/high.

Seems OK. Not super impressed but I guess it will do in a pinch which is why I bought it in the first place. Quality seems ok, size is adequate for its intended purpose. Also I am not old on rechargeable lights with USB ports which was one deciding factor.

This is my third Streamlight Protac 1L-AA light in the last 5-6 years. All provided very good service in every day carry. First two were still functional when retired but looked terrible so they were given away. Not much to say other than the ability to use CR123 or AA batteries makes for easy to find battery replacement. Switch is well made, the pocket clip works well. Not sure what else to discuss, the LED bulb throws a decent amount of light especially with CR123 battery. My go to every day carry flashlight

I love this flashlight. You can tell by the pics I also love Magilites. Who can have enough flashlights? Pluses -Size. Single cell design is small. Love that! Disappears in your pocket. I don’t really care that it has shorter life as I carry rechargeable batteries. I like to carry it on a pocket -Can use the (vastly superior C123 cell vs the A’s). 3volt vs 1.5. I have rechargeable spares . I don’t worry about finding batteries. -Multiple battery size trick is slick. I bet they have a patent on that or everyone would have it too. Again I use C123 and purchased a pack to recharge. It’s great flexibility for everyone else -Program the switch. I use low / high. Works for my needs perfectly -Good broad general purpose beam. Works well low and high. Really useful -Lanyard hole for hanging. Thanks. Haven’t lost it once in months of daily use. Negatives -Switch works well. The housing around it is tall and prevents you from using your thumb to activate it. It’s impossible. You have to grip it like a dart and press the button w your finger. See pic. That’s fine for me walking the dogs. I can’t imagine law enforcement using this design because of the grip alone. Good switch. Maybe the best out there. Made difficult to use by tbe housing. I can’t imagine anyone that designed this light ever actually used it. They would have corrected this flaw. -I would prefer the 3 way switch go High, Low , Strobe. Current setup of high, strobe, low does not work for me. -Strike bezel. I hope I never have to figure out if this works. It’s just another reason to loose something to TSA. It’s too short anyway to be useful -Made in China. I know the cost is less than 1/2 of US production. There is not $5 of cost to make this light. I design and make products on 3 continents. Do better. You’ve lost your IP you had any. Because of the poor switch design I carry it EDC because it’s small, but only in safe settings walking my dogs. Great for that. Either Maglite Mag TEC (C123) or XL50 is a better light because of the switch and housing design. Easy, natural thumb operation. My C123 lasts more than a year w 2 cells. It’s not as convenient to carry in a pocket but still small. One stays on nightstand. One in my car door. XL50 hangs up w the Streamlight for evening walks. I’m glad I tried the streamlight and have it. I won’t switch from Maglite because of switch and county of origin. Mini Maglite is still the best general purpose flashlight ever conceived. Hey Mag, make a single cell, skinny Mag-TEC w high/ low / strobe like XL50. You won’t keep up w demand.

A very nice light for the money. Have it attached with a Mischief Machine light mount on my AR.
