What is the diameter of the hand crank shaft? Could I buy an extra crank, cut off the straight part and attach it to a cordless drill to power raise?

Hi - that's actually a pretty ingenious way to operate the crank. The crankshaft diameter is a little less than 1" in diameter. However, the manufacturer doesn't recommend this, as improper power or torque from the drill may possibly damage the Raizer M making it unsafe.
