Chef-Master 90011 Butane Countertop Stove, 10 000 BTU Portable with Carry Case, High Performance, Piezo Ignition, Brass Burner, Safety Stop

Bought this as a replacement. We use these often when camping or cooking something outside of the house. I purchased this in Jun 2024 and it is still going strong. If you are familiar with these stoves then you probably have thrown them away because the center burner usually melts. This stove has a brass burner and looks as good today as it did when we took it out of the box. If you use these often I strongly recommend spending the few extra dollars for this instead of the throw away models.

There are a few details to note with this five star purchase. I did not read the details of this order. That is my fault, of course. It cannot be returned. I started the return process because it stopped working after about eight days. That was my fault as well. I had accidentally pushed the release switch. Please make sure that the switch to engage it on the front is pushed all the way down. I accidentally pushed it up when cleaning it. And, when trying to ignite this unit, make sure that you turn the knob to turn it on counter clockwise all the way to the bottom until it clicks. If you do all of that, it works like a champ. I would say that it cooks on one butane canister for 180-200 minutes on medium heat, which is about six meals in my house. I like low and slow cooking. High heat on this unit would be amazing for searing or wok cooking but would burn anything else. The case it comes in is cheap, brittle plastic that is hard to close. That is not an issue for me because I am using it at home but it might be an issue if you are trotting it around from campsite to campsite. For my purposes this stove is perfect.

Easy to use. Light weight. Easy to put away. I love it. I had a much heavier, harder to use one and gave it away. Now if I lose my electricity, I can still make coffee without going to my neighbor's house! But just as important, I can now use my old pressure cooker again!

I noticed that a lot of sailors used this stove in their yachts, so I figured it must be dependable and lite weight! I was right, it works great and takes up little space! It looks good and works great! The plastic case is a little flimsy, so I give it a 4 instead of 5 stars.

Works great

This stove was used daily to cook and boil water for 21 days without a hitch - proving to be economical and easy to use. We used 8 cans of fuel. We used it indoors exclusively. We never had a problem with lighting it. The flame was easily adjusted and it surprised us how hot it could burn - making short order of boiling water even on a low flame. This was our first experience with a butane stove. Other people nearby were using propane grills and stoves without nearly the ease and success that we had with this butane stove. The canisters of butane are very easy to install. If there is any down side, it will be the safe disposal of the empty butane canisters.

Great product. It is a snap to load and start up. Most importantly, it is very hot. I bought it for the sole purpose of cooking steaks in an iron pan outdoors and was not disappointed.

I really love this stove. I used it on a recent camping trip and whipped up a gourmet like meal in about 30 min. I also took it to a hotel that didn't offer kitchen amenities and it worked wonderfully. Easy to spark with the Piezo ignition with built in safety features. Yes it can be used indoors but it is always good practice to crack a window or have decent ventilation. But no one dies when gas escapes from your regular gas stove so just be logical and realistic. All in all, I highly recommend this item.
