Fits the keyfob well
This has a two-piece assembly that snaps onto the key fob very easily. It is made of semi-rigid shiny plastic. Once on, it looks great. This item also has its own loop for your keyring. My only concern: the silver coloring on this looks to be painted on, and one of my two covers already had some scratches on it that chipped off the silver paint. I imagine that, after a while in your pocket, that silver color may be prone to chipping off.

Nice Look
This is semi-rigid plastic, shiny, and has a two-piece assembly that snaps onto the key fob very easily. Once on, it looks great - my other key fob has a soft rubberized cover, and that one collects dust and lint. This does not. This item also has its own loop for your keyring, which is nice because, for some reason, BMW’s fob has this weirdly tiny keyring attachment that’s hard to use. My only concern: the silver coloring on this looks to be painted on, and one of my two covers already had some scratches on it that chipped off the silver paint. I imagine that, after a while in your pocket, that silver color may be prone to chipping off.

2 pack
This is a two pack BMW ix key cover. It fits well and has a nice strap. I have yet to put the other one on the key. That one has metal chain with the same tpu cover. I like that it doesn’t look like I put anything on it.

OK, but might try some other solutions
So the current smart key fobs used by BMW for the 25 X5 and other cars is not a great design. As you can see from the pics, most key rings won't fit because there is very little clearance around the attachment point for a key ring, and if you find one sufficiently narrow, it will stick out awkwardly unless its very small. So I thought I would try a fob cover to help with that problem. And this product does fix that problem. It creates a much more reasonable attachment point that you can attach most key rings to if you don't want to use the ones that come with this fob cover. The fob cover is OK. The plastic feels a little cheap, and its slippery and shiny, but certainly protects the key fob if that's important to you and actually doesn't look bad on the fob. It also fits pretty well; the hole for the BMW logo is almost perfectly centered. Getting the two pieces together is a mild pain, but it's doable with a small trim tool or something similar that won't cut the fob cover. As you may be able to see from the pics, the two covers leave a bit of a gap when installed (I installed twice just to make sure it wasn't user error) so eventually will probably collect dirt. The buttons continue to be accessible. Now on the carabiner key ring, I don't love it. The D-ring with the screw that attaches to the fob seems way too large and awkward. Then it attaches to a double loop that provides for full rotation, which I guess is nice but not a big deal here since the D-ring is so large and fits so loosely. Then that attaches to the carabiner. I've actually taken that double loop piece out just to reduce the size a bit. The metal in the key ring components looks pretty nice, but certainly can't attest to the durability. The pleather loop alternative to the key ring is OK. Seems about right for the price. Not great quality but not terrible either. So, in summary, I will probably use the fob cover for a while because it creates a more convenient key ring attachment point. Not sure I will use the rest of the kit. And my wife doesn't want to the other fob cover for her key. So if I had actually paid for this, I might have returned it, but since it was free (just have to pay income tax on the value), I'll go ahead and hang onto it.

Perfect Fit and Premium Feel for BMW Keys
I recently purchased this key fob cover for my 2024 BMW X5, and I’m extremely happy with the quality and look. The fit is perfect—snug and secure with no slipping or loose edges. It lines up exactly with all the buttons, and the cutouts are precise, especially for the lock/unlock and trunk buttons. The TPU material feels premium and offers great protection against scratches and minor drops. I also love the metallic finish—it gives my key a sleek, high-end look that matches the car’s aesthetic. The keychain attachments are solid and feel durable; both the metal clip and the leather strap add a nice touch of convenience and style. Overall, this is a must-have accessory for anyone who wants to protect their BMW key while keeping it stylish. Highly recommended for 2023–2025 BMW owners!
