Wood splintered on the entire the surface on both sides after first initial washed with mild soap and water (I have not even got the chance to use it). Contacted customer support and was tole to initiate for a replacement. I am going to get a refund instead. Lesson learnt: getting popular product and based on reviews will not guarantee it’s quality.

the board itself is amazing, but I got damaged item, it has two horrible dents so as money wise would say quality should be better, or consider to pack it better.

I wanted this cutting board for many years, after reading the ATK reviews. But it’s expensive and I had an okay smaller bamboo one. Finally, gift card in tow, I ordered this cutting board. There’s a few things about it that have been revolutionary for me: - it it massive, it’s basically a small counter. I use it entirely differently than other cutting boards. It’s like a movable work station that fits over my my cooktop. - it is thick, heavy, and stable - it’s very comfortable to chop on because it’s not going anywhere - it’s fairly gentle on the knives (I sometimes use plastic cutting boards) So the size is amazing, I wish I bought it sooner. The quality is also great. It’s well built. The finish is lovely. Because it is so big and heavy I am wiping it down with a towel instead of washing in the sink, so I’m keeping it confined to bread and vegetables for the most part.

This is an excellent cutting board to leave in place on my kitchen counter. The quality is top notch. With this board, I now have a full set of 4 teakhaus cutting boards complete, from a tiny square 8"x8" one to this full size chef's board. The board arrives not just dusty, it is dirty, and it must be washed with neutral pH soap, then dried and soaked with at least one soak of mineral oil before using it. On my board one side was noticeably smoother (the top one) that other which felt slightly rougher. The only thing that I noticed is a slight unevenness in one corner (makes the board wobble which is a no-no in kitchen, not safe) which I corrected by placing a self-adhesive transparent plastic Clear Rubber Bumper (2cm in diameter, 3M brand) in that corner. It corrected the issue right away, although simply placing a damp washing cloth in that corner under the board worked just as well. Now my cutting board sits firmly rooted on the kitchen counter. It's a beauty!
