Plenty of room. The grip feels fine. It’s comfortable to hold. This is a great cup!

Normally I heat water for my tea in the microwave. I don't microwave my pretty flamingo because of her gold crown. Would be really upset if something happened to her. Not hard to zap water in a different cup.
