Great book for young beginning sketchers
Bought this for an eight-year-old nephew who loves to draw in every free moment. This book introduces formal techniques like perspective and shading, but in an accessible and fun way that is perfect for his age. He was excited by it. I only wish the book was longer, or part of a series!

it is not indicated on the book that it is "how to" it clearly says a drawing book so it isn't really a bad book if you realize
I thought this was a "how to" book but it missed the mark there. There is only one page where it takes you through a step by step instruction on how to draw something. i love to push any artistic leanings of my grandkids, this was for my 7 year old granddaughter, for Christmas she was very excited. She is getting very good, and this will help.
