Update: we have just recently gotten a heavy snow and you can see these lights flickering underneath the snow! Impressive! Yes these light are delicate, and they were a pain to unravel. But if you use caution and patience to get them unraveled they are very nice and work really good. The photo in this review is a little blurry but these lights are really nice for a landscape application.

They are really delicate and pretty. I have them outside and we had a rainstorm for a week and they are working great! They unraveled easily which surprised me and they have options on how the lights pulse. I just love them!

After reading reviews, I was excited to purchase these. The solar pack gets direct sun for the day but sadly, they only stay lit for about two hours after dark. By 6:30PM, they are "off." It was a pretty expensive purchase for holiday lights that don't stay lit. :(

So- I only recommend these very small and thin wired string to someone with a lot of patience. Trying to unravel them to install on a tree is almost unbearable. And unless you have a lot of time and patience, I do not recommend them. I have put them up on a tree outside, but I fear that with one good storm that they would break. On the other side- I like the look once up . Most likely you will need two boxes (2 per box) to get the look that you may want.

I really like that these lights are outdoor safe and solar powered. My house has only one outdoor outlet. Most outdoor lights of this style don’t plug into each other and each strand needs a separate plug which would make it impossible to have lights on my front stair rails. Great thinking! If it’s possible to make the solar panel a little smaller someway without losing power, or if the panel could be made to be longer from top to bottom, that would make them easier to use. I had to attach the solar panel to the stair railings and it’s a little wider than I’d like.
