They work
I used these to protect my dogs paws while they are healing. Outside and in the rain or shine. They are Velcro that works excellent. My dog can't chew their paws and they are safe to wear without the cone on. My dogs licks it's lips when I'm putting them on. They are perfect even without the gauze. Awesome. They are not fitted for small dogs. They measure based off of medium to large dogs.

Slides off the paw.
Doesn’t stay on. Purchased both a large and a medium size for my 70lb lab and despite the medium fitting better they simply slide off the paw. No wonder size small is never available. There also is nothing to secure a gauze pad inside the boot (like Velcro). My dog had moist dermatitis on one paw and I was looking for something besides a cone to prevent her from licking (especially post application of medication) and from pulling a dressing off while destroying it. The only way I could get the medium size to somewhat work was to wrap the paw in thick Kerlex and Coban before applying the boot which kinda prevents the dog from pulling it off but I still can. However having the boot over a thick dressing kinda defeats its purpose. I think it would be more productive as an outdoor cover to keep the Kerlex gauge and Coban dry because It does not work the way it was intended-as a paw bandage. Also seems less conducive to healing since it blocks air out since it’s not porous. The concept is good but the design is flawed.

Dog bootie OK, not great
Less than 1 week in use. Had a little trouble getting this to stay on, and after a few uses, the velcro tab came off, so we have to secure with a piece of vet wrap or a rubber band (which we don't leave on longer than it takes to potty walk the dog). Still, this boot made a nice protective cover to wear outside on dry days to keep a bandage clean, and I am still using it for that. The stitching around the black part is coming off, so I don't know how much longer the black protective part will stay on the blue neoprene part, but it should last for the one more week we need to use it for this particular injury. I did buy the non stick pads for inside, which are also just OK. the adhesive made to hold them into the boot doesn't really stick to the boot very well. They did a pretty good job absorbing any ooze, but now his wound is healed enough to not really need it. We are keeping it wrapped very lightly with vetwrap while inside and adding the dog bootie for potty walks. Also, if it does get wet (like if the dog steps in his water bowl or if it falls off outside in the dark and stays there until you find it the next morning) it does not dry very quickly which makes me wonder how much moisture it holds if dealing with a weepy wound or sweaty dog pads. Not sure if I would buy again, at least not for the price. Maybe would buy again if it was closer to $10.

Amazing customer service product could be improved
You might read this review and go why did I give it so high a rating? Simply put, the reason for giving this 4 stars is because of the customer service. I reached back out to the company about the durability issue and they are taking care of me. They also let me know that they're looking into a different sole material so hopefully the issue will be fixed in the future. The company obviously cares about their products and wants to improve them, which is why I rated it as highly as I did. Now onto the review. My dog injured her paw and the vet said to keep it covered while outside to keep it clean so I needed something with a wide opening that was easy to put on, and I needed it fast. Her foot measures about 2.5" wide so I ordered the medium but I couldn't seem to wrap it right enough to stop it from working it's way down her foot while she walked or rotating so it was completely upside down.I contacted the company to see if they had any advice in case it was user error, and the customer service was above and beyond what I expected. Terri helped me figure out my dog needed a smaller size and sent me a care package with their new half size sm/med boot and additional elastic straps. The half size was a much better fit for my dog but the elastic strap is what really made the difference in fit.Once we got the right size, my dog didn't have issues with slipping or stumbling while wearing it. She's never worn boots before so I expected more of a fuss, but she didn't even seem to notice when she was wearing it. There were even times I'd completely space taking it off when we got back inside and she would just curl up and go to sleep like normal. My biggest issue with the boot is that it's not the most durable. We've only been using it for about a week now and the faux leather on the bottom is pretty torn up. I put the boot on my dog before I take her out, we walk through the grassy yard until she does her business, and then we go right back inside when she's done. Nothing vigorous, no prolonged contact with hard surfaces, but it's still falling apart.Another more minor bummer is that this is definitely not something you can use if the ground is wet as the fabric will just soak the water right up.If you only need something for use inside, or for just a few days of use, I think this would be a good product, though I highly recommend reaching out to the company directly if you are having sizing issues or unsure what size to get. If you need something for outdoor use that's going to be more durable, or something to keep the foot dry, this unfortunately might not be the best option until they fix the current issues. But I definitely recommend the company for their customer service alone.

Good protection
These are great medical boots. My dog had a nail removed and it was growing out painful for him so he needed the boot to keep him from constantly licking his foot. They are so easy to put on, very durable and appear to be more comfortable on the leg then the average boot. The leather on the toe provides excellent traction for unstable dogs. Overall a great thing to have on hand.

It’s back to the cone of shame
Updated - after much annoyance, I finally am able to adjust it so she can wear it when she goes out in the wet grass. I slipped it on her foot, had her put her weight on it, and then wrapped the closure around her leg above her ankle. Also, I put a child’s sock on her foot to take up some space in this huge boot. This bootie is huge! I bought the medium for my standard poodle but the width is more than 3” across the foot.More than the width of the boot, the problem is the width of the wrap closure. I pulled it around as tight as possible but she still walks right out of it.Save your moneyThis did not come with two gauze bandages. The box and the bootie are both marked as mediums.

Perfect bootie and awesome customer service! Win, win!
I originally ordered directly from Healers. I'm in Canada so the shipping cost was huge and, unfortunately the booties were too big. I contacted Healers to see if they could suggest any tricks to keep too big booties on my dog as my budget was blown. I received a quick reply with suggested tricks, a refund (without return of item!) and a suggestion to order the smaller size from Amazon.ca to avoid the shipping charges. The tricks helped keep his paw covered, the refund allowed me to order from Amazon.ca and the new one fits perfectly.I highly recommend Healers and their products.

Too big but…
Large size was too big but no fuss from Amazon, refunded me right away and didn’t have to send back so kept them as a spare!

Fit wasn't good and stitching came apart on one of the boots when washed
I knew from reading the other reviews that I was taking a chance on the fit. I measured my border collies foot and purchased accordingly but they didn't fit him very well, too wide at the top and the bottom of the foot didn't sit right either. He had a toe injury and I wanted to cover it, to take him on short walks. I purchased two so that I could use one while the other was drying. One of them washed well, the other the stitching came apart. Disappointing as it looked like a much better solution than the other dog boots advertised.

but we bought X-Small for our cat with CH to better grip the laminate floors in our home
Clearly well made dog booties, but we bought X-Small for our cat with CH to better grip the laminate floors in our home, and they are simply just poorly fitted for cats. Our cat slipped out of them in seconds, so too bad. Returned to amazon with no hassle.P.S. Package is only for two booties.
