According to some sources, stomach acids may diminish the efficacy of NAD+ as a standalone
I don't know how to rate this, as NAD is normally destroyed by stomach acids. If this were liposomal that might help, but the literature leaves little doubt: if you want to get NAD+ in your system, you use a precursor, such as NR or NMN, which are impervious to stomach acids and generates NAD+ in your veins, or you get NAD+ by IV or some other means that by-passes stomach acids. Of course, this is just my opinion and my interpretation of the literature. Do your own research and form your own opinion. For example, check out actual scientific studies on PubMed, see what Life Extension and other "authorities" on health supplements (e.g., Dr. Axe or Dr. Mercola) have to say. Above all, keep in mind that this line of research is emergent, just getting off the ground. Maybe it will fizzle out as more studies are done involving human subjects. Controlled experiments with are vital, but it all takes time and money. I know the rub: an aging person may lack the time or money to wait for reliable reports, and it is nerve racking that the goal may not be realizable in the time one has left. In my graduate courses we were taught that most decision-making in business and public admin seek a "satisficing solution" -- if something, works cease searching for Alice's Yellow Brick Road or Frederick Taylor's "one right way." Alas, there is no one right way for life extension. My grandfather lived to be 95 without ever seeing a doctor, and after retiring from farming to a hotel room at 65, survived the next 30 years without exercise other than heated arguments with other old men at the hotel and getting his "constitutional" walking down to a diner for a roast beef sandwich on white bread. So, maybe length of life is mostly genetic. Of course, my cousin, a captain in the US Marines, died in his 30s on Iwo Jima just weeks before Enola Gay dropped Little Boy on Hiroshima and and the end of WWII. Fat chance his good genes did him! Or the 140,000 Japanese who died that day, instantly, of exposure to -- shall we say -- environmental pressures? But a pill be it Naturebell's NAD+ or one of the liposomal nicotinamide riboside supplements is not going to put you in the poorhouse. So go on, give it try. You may not live test the promise of anti-aging benefits, but Naturebell's NAD+ includes 10 additional ingredients, several of which have a health-giving pedigree. If you don't see benefits within a reasonable time frame, don't buy again.
