It didn’t even turn on. I got it to fix a small line my tattoo was missing and it was driving me crazy. I didn’t want to go all out and buy a large expensive tattoo kit. But if it won’t turn on it’s definitely not worth the buy.

The pen itself does the job- the stroke length is adjustable but I have found this to be a bit finnicky, the casing disassembled at one point lmao but it was easy to reassemble. The battery packs go from 5.0V-12.0V which is ok, great to play around with as a beginner but it would be nice to invest in additional packs that have other ranges to test out different reps. The included needles are.... yeah they're needles I guess but I really can not recommend using them on a person or in the middle of a big project. Every time I used them I had issues with them dumping ink or not depositing or this and that and ughhhhh--- just invest in some high quality needles. Do the same with your ink too. I can not in good faith recommend anyone use the provided ink in a human. Definitely play with it on fake skin! See how it works without feeling like youre dipping into your pocket book! You will need more fake skin than the one sheet provided. The included sheet is 1mm thick and honestly not great quality. I recommend learning how thick different areas of human skin are before deciding what exact thickness of fake skin you might invest in should be. Go ahead and expect this to be only one part of your initial investment if you do end up getting involved in tattooing. You will also need gloves, green soap, more ink wells than provided, and eventually you will probably want a better setup altogether than this. But for $29.99 at the time of this review? Knock yourself out, go ham, have fun. Enjoy your new expensive hobby <3

This is my daughter's pen and its one of her favorites to use. The 2 pics I've attached are just 2 of the 22 tattoos she has done with this kit. It comes with everything a beginner would need to get started. It's nice having 2 batteries, charge one while using the other but we rarely have to charge them, they last awhile. The grip wrap and stencils were good additions to receive. **note for beginners, the setting on the battery needs to be adjusted based on tattoo type.** I can easily recommend this kit!

I am by no means a professional tattoo artist, but have learned, through practice on tattoo skins, to do smaller tattoos on myself and friends. This kit has nearly everything I'd need as a non-professional: the tattoo pen, an extra battery, 2 transfers papers, a pair of gloves, 2 practice skins, grip cover tape, a collection of most-used ink colors plus a large bottle of black ink, cartridge needles, ink cups, and even some table covers. This is truly the most inclusive tattoo pen kit I've ever used. The pen itself is lightweight and easy to hold once you get used to it. The ink colors are vibrant and heavily pigmented, plus the cartridges perform flawlessly for me (again, I'm not a professional). If you're a beginner, you'll need to invest in more transfer papers, more practice skins, and a transfer printer - as what's included in the kit will not be enough. You'll also need to use less grip tape on this pen, as it's definitely the largest pen I've ever used (this is my 4th, so maybe I've just been lucky to use slimmer ones in the past). In the end, this kit is truly impressive for what you get, and at $70 the machine works surprisingly well. I've held professional ones at my friend's tattoo shop and although this one is much fatter, it's balanced extremely well and becomes easy to hold the more you use it. After a couple days practice, I'm already able to get nice clean lines. In due time, I'll step up the size of tattoos I do on myself and friends and I know this will be a pen that stays in my tattoo bag for a long time to come. I'd definitely recommend it! 🙂
