Does this item come in discreet packaging?

Yes it does. It comes in a tube format like a poster. Even when you open the packing the kit itself is pretty discrete

what color paint does this come with?

Just black. It also doesn't come with any way to hang it up after it's been painted. No canvas stretcher bars.

Would it work well to paint each other versus the canvas? I don't like the blob look and would like more pronounced evidence of the deed...

The paint dries extremely quickly, and would be faint on the canvas.
