BENFEI SATA to USB Cable, 2in1 USB-C/USB 3.0 to SATA III Hard Driver Adapter Compatible for 2.5 inch HDD and SSD

I needed a cable to retrieve files from and format two old 2.5" SSD drives. The Benfei cable worked great, it connects snugly to the 2.5" drives and the drives and registered as soon as I plugged it in on a new computer. I was able to retrieve the files I wanted and then format the drives. At under $7, its a great price to have the convenience of plug and go versus opening your computer and plugging in an internal SATA cable and a power plug.

Performance has been excellent. Transfer speeds are fast and stable, making it great for backing up data, cloning drives, or recovering files from old laptops. It handles both SSDs and HDDs reliably, and I haven’t experienced any disconnects or lag during use.

This adapter worked as expected. I needed a simple way to connect a SATA drive through USB, and it did the job without any issues. Products like this are hard to get excited about, but that is also kind of the point. When you need an adapter, you want it to work reliably and not create extra troubleshooting. I had this crazy hope of easily transferring my old data and records off of an old hard drive, and while it does function as advertised, it’s honestly a bit underwhelming. But if you were hoping for faster transfer speeds or a more premium product, you might want to consider other options. Overall, I’d say this adapter is fine for basic data transfer needs, but it definitely leaves something to be desired. It’s functional, but boring, and the transfer speeds could use a lot of improvement. It gets the job done, but it doesn’t impress.

Good quality hardware, ac adapter is high quality. Good thick cables and connectors. Works great for hooking my WD Blue HDD 3.5HDD, and desktop dvd writer to my laptop.

Works great. I used it to be able to wipe a laptop HDD clean.

Needed this to connect a laptop hdd to salvage some data. Worked like a champ. Hard to beat for the price. I haven’t used it much but it did great for what I needed. Can’t speak to long term durability but it was well worth it to save that data.

This worked great. I was able to hook up a hard drive I removed form a computer I was replacing and get the data I wanted!

One thing I should have guessed was that the AC adapter had a UK plug. I live in Sweden and consequently got a problem. This should have been informed about in the description. If this is omitted, the seller might have adapted the delivery to the country the package was sent to EU -> EU, UK -> UK etc. Had a suitable mains adapter lying around so it worked out great. Overall good quality and works great for my XBOX.
