Great lockdown present they loved building it and painting. You must vanish after building it if you want it to last in the garden. It won’t if you don’t because it is very this thin wood

Bought as a present for six year old twins. They loved painting and assembling. Not outdoors yet, but will go well with their bug hotel.

I assemble a lot of stuff and so am no novice but this was ridiculously hard. My 6 yr old watch me trying not to swear and throw the whole thing out the window. It’s fiddly, flimsy and looks nothing like the picture. There aren’t enough bamboo canes to pack it tightly and unless you’re an artist you’ll never get the same finish. One of the dowling pins snapped and there are no spares. We received the bee hotel on the left as a gift, it was sturdy, cute and took minutes for my 6 yr old to put together by himself. But that instead and leave this rubbish on the shelf!

The idea was excellent - build & paint your own bug house. Unfortunately it was very flimsy, and some of the very thin wooden pieces had warped, making it very difficult to construct. It is held together with tiny slivers of wood, thinner than a matchstick, and at one stage both halves have to be joined by 8 of these sticks! I gave up and glued quite a lot of it. I think if it were put on the ground it would quickly fall to pieces. I glued 4 small flat pebbles to the base to keep it off the ground. It was bought for my 4 year old grandson, but he was only able to do the painting.

Bought as a birthday present, for my daughters school friend. Good gift if you aren’t sure what to actually buy.

Sturdy perfect gift

Bought for granddaughter was great project to do. Easy enough to put together but had to use a bit a glue for extra strength.
