An amazing journey from the man behind the lens
I was anticipating the arrival of this book for a couple of months after having seen it mentioned on Instagram, because there has not been a definitive book on the Royal Family that shows them in all their guises during their official duties. Inevitably, anticipation doesn't always result in satisfaction - but this book has exceeded my expectations totally. The Royal Family have devoted their lives to public service yet we still don't see everything in the press apart from the pics they choose to show us. And they have changed with the times. That is one of the reasons I love this book - the other is apart from the amazing photographs, the narrative by the photographer provides a perfect accompaniment as it explains everything you need to know about the moments in time that Chris Jackson has captured. I'm not always convinced about awards and so on, but reading this book has certainly convinced me that this three-time winner of Royal Photographer of the Year is on a different level. Although I am not yet half-way through it, I am compelled to urge anyone who has even the slightest interest in the monarchy, charitable support and Britain's heritage to grab a copy! Fantastic value and a wonderful coffee-table book to boot!

Modern monarchy at its very best!
I've been obsessed with the British royal family since I was 6, when the world learned about the passing of Lady Diana. Since then, my hunger for more and more has kept growing and I had been waiting for a book which collected every aspect of the Windsors' lives. Thanks to Christopher Jackson and his stunning pictures, I can say that I am finally oh so satisfied. Truly photography at its best and you can see through the pictures there is a real and respectful relationship between the photographer and the royals. Trust me, you can absolutely buy this beautiful book (a piece of art!) with your eyes closed! Just remember to open them to read through Modern Monarchy. :)

A beautiful collection of photos!
Chris Jackson is a very talented photographer and in this book he shares many of his beautiful photos of the royal family. Some of the royals are obviously very relaxed around him which allows him to capture some very natural, relaxed moments. Some of the photographs are printed over a double page which some people may not like (my daughter for one) but for me it doesn't detract from the images.

The best book about the British Royals
The book really features the most important aspects of being a royal. Supporting charities, visiting places in the UK, the Commonwealth or any country, playing sports but most importantly sticking together as a family. Incredibly beautiful photos and nice stories. If you love the Royal Family you need this book.
