It definitely is sharer proof I bought it for my son and he drops the phone a lot and this has saved me money.

I have a gadget guard on my screen now, but it cracks and needs replaced all the time, can this protector be put on top of that?

No. There's a video detailing the process to put it on, but it doesn't lat very long at all (minutes) before the edges start coming up. Not good to pair with a case.
