Probably will never get a replacement from this company. The optical drive replacement I received was completely defective. It would not accept any disc when I tested it myself twice. 1st time I tested it was the replacement Disc drive and the board chip itself, tried it didn't accept the dice. 2nd time swap out the replacement disc drive, insert with my own board chip, put it together, still didnt accept Dice. That when I knew the replacement disc drive that I received was defective. And was charged $90 for it, felt like I got scammed out. You rather off just going to somewhere else to find a replacement disc drive, or find a local repairman that specializes in fix electronic stuff, or get the Digital Ps5 slim and a optical drive attachment for it.

Returned the item. The disc drive had the screws loose and looked really banged up. Definitely not a new unit.

I bought this towards the end of September, installed as per Terry G. Worked fine for awhile, now it's making a noise and back to the same code on the PS5 as before, not able to update again. Waste of 90 bucks in my opinion, not sure the reason, but now my PS5 is a paper weight again

This item I received did not work. It was also not NEW as the sticker said on the box. The item is damaged outside and inside, also showing visible tampering with worn or stripped screws and one broken screw peg in the rubber housing on the top shell. I'm disappointed wasting my time and patience. It's misleading how the product was presented and described.
