We like everything about this lantern. The price is great. It works great and is super bright. It is waterproof. It is so easy to pop in the 3 double A batteries. It is light weight. I have gifted them now to friends, and they all love them.When the power goes out, you can put one in each room and it is very light. No worried about a fire from my candles. Gifted them to my grandkids so I don't worry about fire. I also keep one in the front seat of my car. IfI ever have an emergency -- I know I will be O.K. I can't say enough good about this lantern. It is pitch black where I live. I carry it into our bedroom at night so I don't have to turn on the overhead light and wake up my husband.

These lights are perfect when there are blackouts, or you need more light to find something in a dark closet. It is very bright and can light up a room well enough to see where you are going. I had one of these from a long time ago when they were being advertised on TV and loved it. When the power went out, it worked great! We were not prepared for the power outage; couldn't find flashlights and the ones we did find didn't work well and needed new batteries. Thankfully, I found this Atomic Beam, and even after not using it for a few years, and the batteries being corroded, it worked fine. I have since gotten more of these from Amazon and now have one in each room.

bought 1 and came back for 2 more - Easiest to use - just pull up - no dials, or hard to push in buttons like some others that leave you fumbling with it in the dark. Easy battery access and a bright light that can sit or hang out on the patios from the handles...highly endorsing this lantern !!! Great packaging and received timely from this seller....

We love this lantern... It has been with us on many camping trips to the mountains... It has great light and can be seen for a great distance... We've also used it when we've had power outages and it has been a life saver...

it works fine. Light is really bright be careful. Use good batteries. cheap batteries tend to leak and it can ruin the light

I originally received one of these as a gift years ago. I love how easy they are to use and the magnets on the bottom and something to hang it. I now just purchased my 3rd one and will continue to purchase these only! They are great for yourself and great as gifts, its something everyone can get use out of.

I live in Florida... its September 2017....no need to explain any more - I bought this as we had a 100% expectancy that we would lose power with Hurricane Irma. Prediction was right.... power went out just as the height of the storm reached the city, around 2am ET. I purchased (2) of these a few days before the storm arrived, and the night before we expected the biggest impact, I unboxed and was surprised to learn that it only needed AA batteries. I had several other lanterns to prepare, so I didn't bother to read the instructions (my bad). I had the Atomic Beam open, installed the batteries and immediately it lit up!! It was SO BRIGHT that it almost blinded me, and I was scurrying to try to find the OFF button (remember, I didn't read the instructions). While my husband laughed at me, he picked the other one up and told me that I needed to push the top down to close it!!This light is absolutely as bright as it was advertised - we were delighted - there are SO MANY gimmicks and money hungry people in this world today, I wanted to make sure that I stopped to write a review to tell everyone that this Atomic Beam performs just as noted. It's compact, takes 'normal' batteries, but gives off a light that will blind you if you need that much. Mine had the magnetics and it does attach as noted.thank you to the makers of this product for being HONEST - in today's world, we appreciate you. I will be purchasing more after I recover from the financial drain of this Hurricane!

Excellent for area illumination, not focused illumination.
