Schacht Cricket Loom 10"

I wanted this as a Christmas gift for my great granddaughter. The price was great and the delivery was way faster than anticipated. Schacht is a great brand and many videos online to show assembly and instructions. Highly recommend. Highly recommend Fabulous Yarn-Amazon.

This is an affordable, easy to use table loom. We have more than a dozen of them at our organization where we have taught many people how to weave on them. Sturdy and well made, this is our go-to loom.

The "bars" are not even. The rigid heddle keeps falling out of place. The clamps don't stay put. If you make it tighter then the loom itself starts pivoting up in the front. The "cords" that connect the apron bars to the warp and cloth beams are not even. When I fill the whole heddle, the warp threads pull the heddle left and right its like the heddle is to small for the loom.

The loom itself was wonderful. The instructions were not very good. I had to go on line and find U-tube videos that helped me learn how to use it.

I bought this for my seven-year-old who is fascinated with weaving. She has already made several scarves and a stack of washcloths! While it is definitely not a children's toy, and takes patience to learn to warp it properly (she found a great YouTube video on it) and practice to get and even weave, with a little bit of focus it is not monumentally difficult either.It came with enough yarn that she was able to warp it with one ball and do the weft with the other. She finished most of it during a roadtrip (on and off over about 9 hours each way) and after that was done finished another (with yarn we purchased) for her brother within the next week.I keep finding myself picking it up after she is in bed too and doing a few rows as I wind down for the evening, enough so that I am entertaining the idea of saving up for a 15" one so we can both have a project going. It is the perfect beginner loom if you want to get something better than the ones designed for children.

We purchased the Cricket Loom for my 8 year old Granddaughter and she loves it. My husband and I assembled it and she immediately started using it. She was so excited we had to keep telling her to slow down. I also enjoy using it and I am 74 years old.Thank you for a good product.

This loom worked out perfectly for us. My 9 year old granddaughter loves it. Easy to put together and pretty clear instructions. The video's on youtube made it super easy.
