1/4" Thick High Density Deluxe Non Slip Exercise Pilates & Yoga Mat

The mat is great, just the right thickness and the perfect length. I am NOT and experienced yogi, but this mat definitely does the trick.Be aware, however, YogaAccessories customer service leaves a bit to be desired, regardless of the quality of the mat. We ordered this mat about 6 months ago for my wife. She loves it, too. Hers came with a very convenient carrying bag, mine did not. I contacted YogaAccessories and inquired; the response was oops, you'll just have to buy one. Perhaps I'm being overly sensitive, just seemed a little consumer unfriendly.

I bought two of them about 2 years ago and love them. We use them quite a bit. There are a couple of spots where the surface of the mat is coming apart. It's only because I was an idiot and was doing push-ups on it while wearing shoes. I use them for other workouts as well as yoga. Right now, they get a lot of use while doing the P90X workout program. They are great for abdominal exercises or any exercises that could hurt your knees. The orange and gray colors are beautiful. I didn't notice any strange smell as others have mentioned. I will buy more when ours wear out. I have no complaints. I have never had a problem with it not being sticky enough. It's perfectly sticky!

This yoga mat is very nice quality. Stays in place and provides perfect supposrt , cushion, and non slipping traction needed. I'm still pretty new to yoga and was quite scared I was going to fall on my face but I felt very secure on this mat. I got it in gray. The mat rolls up compactly and fit well in the carrying bag (I purchased one seperately) I have. It's easy to clean. I just wipe mine down with a disinfecting wipe and let air dry before rolling. I also use this for my everyday exercise. Works great! *sample provided to review

So it's a yoga mat. As far as being extra thick, perhaps it is in terms of inches, but I really didn't notice a difference. Obviously better than the free ones my gym offers, but still not a good solution to a hard wood floor beneath. Folding the end over or using a towel is still pretty necessary in my opinion for certain postures. At 188cm I give this mat approval for tall people. Throughout my class I had no problems. And while this mat didn't claim to do anything about slipperiness I'll just mention that it occurs so have a towel nearby.

I bought this mat in gray, and I'm quite happy with it. The length makes it quite roomy, and the thickness adds extra comfort, which is a good thing. I'm giving it 4 starts for two reasons: 1) It can get slippery if you sweat. 2) The color ended up being considerably lighter than I expected. As for the slippery part, wearing toe socks with grip helped, but I still have trouble if I'm supporting myself on my hands; having a towel nearby to dry your hands and the mat might be a good idea.

About the same thickness/softness as a standard matt used in the YMCA. Good height and width, again like standard yoga matt. Not slippery so that you can grip it with feet and hands. In sum: just about perfect for my purpose. One drawback is that it's hard to carry and there is no reasonable priced carrying device on Amazon as of this review and purchase. There is a holder that looks perfect for less than $5, but the shipping charge is over $8- too costly for a small strap.I thought that I would just roll it up and carry it, but it's been too inconvenient when carrying a gym bag, water, keys, etc.....Would have been 4-5 stars if they charged a little more and included a strap for carrying or if they had made sure one was available.

Had a strong chemical smell on first opening. Washed it and it seems better but would have been nice not to have to wash it. Will update once I've used for a while

This mat is phthalate free, which is nice. There is no objectionable smell, and the surface is nicely grippy for the feet. The rolled up mat is slightly larger in diameter and heavier than my older standard mat, but this is not a problem. If you need a little extra cush for your elderly bones, you need this mat! Not to mention that if tall, you need the extra length. Great mat at a reasonable price; comes in nice colors.
