Slim machine at a nice price point that makes great tasting espresso.
I'm quite impressed with this sleek espresso making machine, the Casabrews 5418 PRO. I am sipping on my freshly made latte as I write this review. Setting it all up out of the box took a reasonable amount of time, the instructions provided were helpful and I was up and running in no time. They have helpful picture instructions on how to use for the first time, preheating, making espresso and heating/frothing milk. I did watch a few youtube videos and casabrews videos to help me along further with teaching me how to effectively use the machine and all the parts. The pros: -sleek and slim machine -it makes a delicious espresso -you can easily move between making a shot of espresso and heating up milk with the wand or making another cup of espresso quickly, which is a great feature with little wait time if you are making more than 1 cup at a time. I believe this is one of the main features between the more expensive 5418 PRO and the 5418. -the frothing spout heats up milk/cream quickly -the water tank is helpful so I can make multiple shots and steam/stream hot water ready to go -the frother wand can swing in/out -cleaning is relatively easy, although it does take a few minutes to clean the spout/the brew head/portafilter/drip tray -the pressure gauge is a nice feature to see that you are in the right zone The cons: -the machine is slim and lightweight, so fitting in or removing the portafilter takes a little finesse, using one hand to hold the machine in place while the other fits the portafilter in/out -while the frother spout is great for heating up your milk/cream quickly, it's not as great at frothing/foaming or maybe I just haven't figured it out yet. I have to use a separate frothing wand. All in all, a good machine for it's value, the pros outweigh the cons and the cons are minor inconveniences. The amount of money I'm saving by making my own tasty lattes is great.

100% recommend
Zero complaints. This machine has been working perfectly for the few months I’ve had it, even with daily use. The portafilters it comes with allows you to use pre-ground coffee. I upgraded to a bottomless portafilter out of preference, but kept the originals because I still use them on occasion (pre ground decaf for a nightcap!). Pulling back to back shots with practically no “warm up time” and having the powerful steam wand ready in 3 seconds is amazing. The wand is powerful enough to make latter art! The shots pull consistently, 1 or 2 ounces everytime. The design is really sleek and nice, takes up hardly any space at all. Would definitely reccomend this to anyone looking for a solid entry level machine!

Espresso or Lattes in your own Casa
I purchased the Casabrew Pro to replace my French press and handheld frother. The pro model has some upgrades from its previous CM model. The item was well packaged with all the accessories needed, easy instructions for first time use, flushing the machine, making your espresso, and frothing your milk. It has a one or 2 cup filter and settings to adjust the amount of your one or 2 cup brew. Thus far, I’m super happy with each brew - the temperature of the coffee and the ability to froth coconut milk sufficiently. i’ve used both dark roast decaf and espresso or a mixture of both and the coffee taste just great. The Casabrew Pro is sleek and small enough (less than 6 in width) to fit under the counter without taking too much space like my air fryer. The noise level is a bit loud when frothing but bearable for the short time it takes to froth the milk. Overall, I’m thrilled with this espresso machine and can’t wait to share it with my family and friends over the holidays.

The Best Part of my Day! Perfetto!!!
This little machine works unbelievably well, and it is super fast. It heats the water instantly, and looks great while doing it. I love that it takes up less space on my counter and I can make a Cappuccino in less than five minutes from start to finish. The frothing wand is especially nice. It’s sturdier than some that I’ve used and the angle is perfect. I can froth my milk from silky to nearly stiff in seconds, and it is hot! I find no need to preheat anything. I dog sit and I’m frequently at other people’s houses. This machine is so light that I take it with me everywhere! Thank you so much for a great little Espresso maker with brand new technology! It’s the best part of my day!

Plastic, but Well Performing Machine
My household has been using the Casabrewa 5418 PRO multiple times a day for over a month now. It's function and directions are excellent. With some experimenting, it makes acceptable and delicious espresso. This is an entry model machine that does exactly what you want it to. It heats fast and produces espresso fast. However, for the price point the amount of plastic is a bit disappointing. The machine has the appearance of being stainless steel while being constructed almost entirely of plastic. If you want an entry level espresso machine and you don't mind the plastic, this is an excellent option.

Compact, Powerful Espresso Machine for the Home
We've had our CASABREW 5418 Pro for several weeks now and are delighted with it. It has a small footprint, so sits under our cabinets, taking up not much more than 6 inches of width. It is well constructed, with study solid moving parts with plenty of power for steam and making the espresso. I don't think the entire housing of the unit is steel, few machines offer that these days, especially the smaller units. But the essential parts (nozzles, puck housing, etc.) do appear to be steel. The water tank is tucked on the backside and is ample. It's simple to use and comes with a tamper, puck, and a single and double espresso basket, so all you need to add is the coffee. We compared this with other compact espresso machines sold at much higher prices. We are happy with this one.

Great little Expresso machine. This was our second Casabrew machine as we had the non-pro version first. We gave that away to our son then ordered this one, the PRO. It brews a wonderful cup or two of delicious Expresso, Latte or Americano coffee. Unfortunately the first Pro machine I received had an issue with the steamer. It would start to work, run for 6 seconds then stop. I used Casabrew's support email, described the issue and attached a video. The very next day I received a response, apologizing profusely, offering me a full refund or a new machine. I asked for a replacement. Within an hour I received an email confirming that the replacement had been shipped. Love dealing with a company that stands behind its product 100% and values its customers.

Great machine that delivers piping hot espresso with decent foam quickly. Be sure to use proper size grind specifically for espresso and fill and tamp to the max line for optimal pressure.

I bought this machine as a temporary replacement for my expensive Breville espresso machine. While that has broken down there times in one year, this little machine was to take it's place while it got repaired. I am super impressed with it. The taste of the pulled shot is almost identical to the Breville. Although it also depends on how good your grinder is, if I had to do it again, I'd buy this machine and save myself $2k. It's small and light, you can pack it to go if you're off to a cottage or an Airbnb. I recommend it to future buyers.

I had high hopes for this machine, as I did a ton of research for espresso machines priced all the way up to $1,500, as my need was to be able to pull 3 back to back shots for our morning lattes before going to work. Unpacked a brand new Casabrews 5418 PRO machine, plugged it in, added water to tank, followed first steps to prime the system by running water thru the steam wand for 10 seconds (hot water came out of the wand). Then ran the flushing program and noted a LOT of water was leaking out the bottom back of the machine thru the hole where the power cord comes out. Contacted customer service with photo/video, next morning they responded and offered me either full refund or another new unit (I chose a new unit). Same steps with new unit, same water leak immediately after the initial steam wand water purge step. Contact customer service again, they replied next morning and offered me full refund. I opened up both machines to see if I could salvage the problem, but both units had massive amounts of water shooting out of the pancake heating element (no visible damage seen in either unit's heating element or other parts). So it's a critical design flaw (not sure how both passed their QC). At least Casabrews customer service is top notch and they stand behind their product.
