Q: Will it grow in St. Louis Missouri?

Not sure. But it seems to be growing in Washington! I wish it grew more rapidly, but it is definitely thriving.

Q: Also, are these good indoor office plants?

While this plant will grow nicely indoors, depending upon your ceiling height, you may need to cut the canes back. Possibly a better option is my listing - “Lady Finger” Clumping Bamboo Plant. Lady Finger is perfect for an indoor planting as it will be more in the range of 6 to 8 feet indoor. Currently they are about 5 feet tall, so that are close to their mature height upon receipt.

Q: Do they need alot of direct sun?

I planted 2 in partial shade and they are doing well They were very well packed for shipping

Q: What do you actually receive? i few bare root plants? potted plant? what is in the package?

I received a thin black disposable 1 gallon pot with soil and planted in it was about a dozen 12-18" bamboo shoots, each smaller in diameter than a pencil, with some very sparse leaves. It was a small percentage of the advertised item. I complained and included pictures and never heard back.
