Replacement USB (Type C) Charging Port & Earphone Jack Flex Cable Compatible with OnePlus 5 A5000

After almost 3yrs the charging port on my sons OP5 started getting wonky, would not hold cable in place tightly and would only charge intermittently or not at all. I purchased this replacement and it worked perfectly. The new charging port connector holds the cable securely and charges the unit as it should. It was easy to install with the proper tools and guidance from the videos available online. The replacement looks pretty much identical to the oem cable that was in the phone. I could barely tell the difference and included photos of both for this review. The first picture is the item I received. In the second picture the original/oem cable is the upper one, the replacement I purchased is the lower one. When I gave my son his phone back to try it out he was amazed at how well the repaired port now works. It is “just like new”!! I don’t write a lot of reviews, but was throughly impressed with this purchase. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. The product is as good as original equipment, and I don’t expect there should be any issues for another 3 years due to normal wear and tear. This product is of great quality and arrived very quickly. I see no reason to give it any less than 5 stars!! Very impressed!!

This part is not exactly right for oneplus 5t. The screw holes for headphone jack were in the wrong place (I had to snap them off) and the headphone jack is too close to the charge port so I had to clamp the phone to close it - scary, but I didn't break the screen 😁

I am not sure if it's my device or a common problem with Oneplus 5 but I experienced that the charging port needed a very hard push to get fast charging(Dash charging was gone). It started taking over 4-5 hours for the device to fully charge. Then I saw a youtube video of replacing the charging port(which was the root cause of the problem). I ordered this it took me about 30 minutes to replace the unit(I already had the mini screwdriver set, yes you need very sophisticated screwdrivers to remove the back cover of the device if you don't have those then first look at youtube for guidance) and not I can enjoy fast charging just like a Brand New One plus 5. I was a little concerned about the Sound JAck as the unit is a combination of both but both fast charging and headphone jack work perfectly. Gave Five stars. Of course, I will come back after a few days if there are any negative experiences after extended use.

I had the oneplus 5 for almost two years & my charging port started acting up, dash charge wouldn't work unless I shoved the charger into the port real hard. Was on and off and had to replug few times for dash charge to work. Bought this, followed the instructions on YouTube for replacing the cable and it works like new. The whole process took around 20 minutes with the proper tools & screwdrivers. The replacement looks just like the original, seems like it's good quality. Fast shipping, I'm satisfied with it.

The headphone jack does not have bolt holes, just wobbles around inside the phone. Now I can't even use the headphone jack because it just pushes the female jack up inside the phone.

This was a perfect replacement for the original ports. The part I received included all required screw holes to secure the ports to the back cover. I recommend following the iFixit guide for step by step instructions. Replacing this part resolved the issues I experienced while trying to charge my OnePlus 5. Verified both fast charging and dash charging are now working after replacement was complete.

Fast charging didn't work first time around. Aux port didn't work on both the broken and replacement one they sent.

My Oneplus 5 charge port was getting looser and less reliable over time. I finally decided to give this swap a try. It was actually pretty easy, especially with the right tools and super helpful videos online.The first time around I didn't connect the cable back properly and my headphones didn't work. I opened things back up and pressed the connector down better, and now everything is PERFECT! Feels great to have such a solid charging port again!!
