got tired of buying batteries for my TENS unit
Six weeks ago I injured my back and had sciatic pain down my leg. I went to my chiropractor he was very concerned and sent me for x-rays. My pain was getting worse and I was sent to an orthopedic surgeon he ordered an MRI and also recommended a TENS unit to tens the muscles and nerves in my back to try to eliminate some of the crippling pain. Both he and my chiropractor thought the TENS unit would help. I purchase a unit locally and started using it immediately. I really feel it helps break concentration on the pain. What I understand is it overloads the brain with extra stimulation and you actually feel less pain. I was using this thing constantly and it runs on a 9 volt battery. The unit is very efficient but will eat a alkaline battery in less than 2 days. I bought this charger because it comes with 2 batteries, one to go and one to charge was my thinking. I have been using the TENS unit almost daily and the charger and batteries have paid for themselves several times over. These batteries have a high mA hour rating which means a longer run time between charges. These batteries when fully charged will out last and new copper top 9 volt alkaline battery. After the MRI a bone chip was discovered and was pressing on my spinal cord right at the point where the sciatic nerve leaves the spine. I had to see a spine specialist which took 2 weeks to get an appointment. He also discovered slight nerve damage to this chip and recommended surgery. I had the surgery yesterday 6 weeks after I first injured myself. All this time I was using my TENS unit for temporary pain relief. If you are using a TENS unit on a regular bases and don't have stock in Energizer I highly recommend this unit. It will pay for itself in no time and you will always have a 9 volt battery available when needed. These are Lithium-ion batteries the latest technology in long lasting rechargeable batteries available. This is a excellent deal!

NOT 9-volts! Yet EXCELLENT for "lower"-voltage, slow-drain applications
01/28/2013 - Used in cordless/hands-free Mics in church. Very good capacity - lasts 4+ hours and charges. works well so far and i plan on buying more if we get more of the same mics.05/04/2013 - Update:After twice weekly use, the batteries DO NOT last more than 20-30 mins now (always returned to charger after each use). I know that Lithium-ion batteries should last 1000+ recharges with 80% depth of discharge, and GOOD Ni-Cd batteries recharge 100s of times, so there is something suspect with these. ..08/21/2013 - Update:These batteries have a larger mAh capacity because they are "lower" voltage. If you don't need 9volts, like the included LED flashlight which ran for 53 hours(!) with usable light, these will work very well. If you need them for a "higher" voltage application these will have limited use. For me, these were used in a wireless microphone system that was near the base for the first month then I started using them farther from the base and they did not perform well. Below are the results of my tests:Battery9volt date voltage charged#1 7/10/2013 8.26 3months ago#2 7/10/2013 8.27 3months ago#1 7/10/2013 8.31 10min charge to full#2 7/10/2013 8.31 10min charge to full#1 7/10/2013 8 after using included LED light for 1 hour#1 7/12/2013 5.26 after 53 hours of LED#2 7/12/2013 8.34 after 53 hours of charge#1 8/21/2013 8.35 after 40days on charger#2 8/21/2013 8.29 after 40days standby

Almost as good as the EBL brand.
I had decided to use rechargeable Lithium ion 9v batteries in my wireless microphone setup in the future to avoid worrying about running out of 'gas' during a presentation.I purchased two samples of three different brands and ran three runs of each, depleting them to exhaustion each time. As you might expect, the facts were different from the claims about storage capacity. If you're interested in trying rechargeables, based on my tests, I can recommend the EBL brand slightly over the Maximal. It's rated at 600mah, but tested out at 618mah. Maximal Energy at checked out at 482 vs 550 claimed. The others one I tested, Tenergy tested at 330maH vs 500maH claimed. I also included some Duracell alkalines which were in between the EBL and Maximal, but at several bucks a pop, are an expensive way to go.The last time I checked, you can now buy a four-pack of EBLs for $30, including charger!

Worth the cost...
I bought my son a metal detector that runs on two 9 volt batteries. Looking at going through alkaline batteries at the rate of 2 every eight hours of use, this seemed to be a no brainer. Within three to four uses, this will pay for itself. Also, these batteries are twice the capacity of alkaline batteries, so they will last longer when used.I found no issues with the batteries, and the charger is compact, with a red/green led above each battery, indicating charging status. I have other chargers, but none that charge 9 volts, so this was the best deal I found on Amazon. I don't live in a large area, and there were limited options with regard to rechargable 9 volt batteries and chargers, so buying from Amazon was my only real choice. Although we've only charged the batteries twice, we have found no problems with the batteries or the charger, and would recommend to anyone needing to buy 9 volt batteries more than once per year, as this would be a significant cost savings.

Exceeded My Expectations!
I'm a musician and bought this to power the "body-pack" for my Carvin in-ear wireless monitors. Typically, this device would consume a 9v alkaline battery in a single evening (3 1-hr sets, switched off in between). Duracell and Energizer batteries could *sometimes* last up to 2 nights, but more often, they'd inconveniently expire in the middle of a set on the second night. Where I live, an Duracell/Energizer costs about $3 each, in quantity, ON SALE (including taxes, etc). Before I bought this, I asked Carvin if it would be wise to use a rechargeable in their device, whereupon they responded saying it wasn't recommended due to the heavy current draw. Nevertheless, I ignored their recommendation after poring over the device specs and convincing myself it should be within tolerances. After almost 3 months of use, I can confirm that these Maximal 9v batteries perform PERFECTLY with a fully-charged one lasting all evening with plenty of juice to spare. I've never tried to run one two nights in a row without a recharge, but then again, I haven't had occasion to do so ... if I did, I have little doubt it'd be up to the challenge! Also, being Li-ion, I have no concerns about memory-effect from recharging without fully running down the battery. The other surprising bonus was the LED light that was included. It is extremely bright and has come in handy for setup and tear-down at every gig. I attached this light to a *spent* Duracell that I swapped out and it uses so little power, it's still lighting at full brightness 3 months later!!I bought 2 of these kits, one for myself, one for my bass player. All-in, each kit was equivalent in cost to about 10 alkaline batteries - an UNBELIEVABLE bargain!! Already past my "break-even" point, not only has this kit saved me money, it has bought me peace of mind that I'll never be caught short, mid-performance, with a dead battery.HIGHLY recommended!!!

Exactly what we I needed
A pair of lightweight high mAh rechargeable 9v batteries. These charge quickly and hold a charge fairly well considering the charger is very compact and also lightweight meaning I can add them to an audio pack with little to no weight compromise. These were purchased to run an older wireless handheld microphone system that used to eat one 9v alkaline per 8 hour show per microphone in use (we generally only have one in use but occasionally two). These two lithium 9v batteries have saved me so much money since they cost only slightly more than a 4 pack of alkaline 9v batteries and yet have allowed me to consistently have one battery charging/charged while the other is in use for the night. Since purchasing this 2 pack I have not needed to buy a single 9v alkaline and have been using these in an alternating fashion for over a year without a single low battery warning or the need to swap batteries mid show.Even if they stop working tomorrow I will still absolutely buy again as ~$40 for a year vs ~$20 x 52 weeks in a year for alkaline, hell even if they only lasted 6 months they'd still be a better buy than alkaline batteries.

Lighweight, heavy duty.
Pros: Charges quickly, within hours. Very lightweight, compared to a 9v Duracel. Performs as well as conventional 9v batteries thus far, when used with my guitar stomp boxes.Cons: Handle with care. Negative terminal is made of 6 metal segments (hexagonal shape), and are very, very easily bent. I managed to bend one of these segments while plugging the battery into the charger. Had to use fine-tipped pliers to ease the segment back into its original position.

great alternative to buying 9v every cople days
I got these for a device that I use anywhere from 6 to 12 hours a day and these charge up faster than I can use them so that means I always have a battery available. Buying 9v would have been too expensive in the long run so I am very happy these were suggested to me.

Good power and excellent value
They are intended to be used with a shotgun microphone used for shooting videos, which eats alkaline 9V batteries for lunch. With these rechargeable batteries, the microphone can stay on for almost 24 hours before shutting down. The batteries can be fully charged in about two hours after they are depleted. Love them.
