The flapper was easy to install but it did not stop the running because upon further inspection I found a rubber band that had gotten stuck on to the valve seal (left in tank by installer)and that is why water kept leaking out. After cleaning the partially dissolved and sticky rubber band off of the flapper seal, it worked great! I am still glad I got the new flapper because the one that came with this toilet was a hard plastic material and would not stay open to flush the toilet unless I held down the handle the entire time.
