Solid build but overpriced for what it offers
I have been using this set for about 4-5 months now. I specifically went for Panasonic over other cheaper brands such as Beetel, Motorola etc. because of the good experience I have had with them in the past.BuildComing to the set itself, it is well built. Its solid plastic, which doesn't flex under pressure and the buttons give good feedback as well, even though they are mushy. The white plastic has texture to it and is easy to clean and doesn't attract stains, just light dust.Display and features. The display on the phone is not that great as it is not backlight and is hence difficult to read in certain situations, but other than that it functions well.It does not have any onboard memory so it can't store contacts. However, it can list calls, redials etc., upto 30 calls I think. It has a dedicated button for redialing and called ID. Also has buttons for adjusting speaker volume.Sound and Call qualityThe sound quality is quite decent, both from the earpiece and the speaker. Voices are clear on the earpiece, although it does sound as if the other person is speaking somewhat away from their phone. Your voice will sound clear and free from distortions to the listener. The speaker itself is quite loud (I keep it on highest volume) and on speaker mode, the mic manages to pick up sounds from even 10 ft away.Cons1. No memory for storing phone numbers and names etc.2. Stored date and time gets erased in case of power failure (on board memory lasts for about 20 seconds). Since my landline is connected to my internet modem, every power cut means I have to re-enter date and time.3. The extrusion for keeping the receiver in place for vertical installs is slightly shorter than it should be. Many a times after putting down the receiver, it tends to fall off if not placed firmly.4. Phone is not meant for parallel connections. That is, you cannot use 2 of these on the same connection. It clearly says this in the manual, but not on the box.The odd thing is that cheaper sets seem to offer backlight displays and memory function, but Panasonic has skipped these. They should have been offered at this price point.

Durability at Present gets a 4, but only time will tell as this is bought just now
I have been using Panasonic and Sony desk phones since over 28 yrs. The first one of Panasonic Speaker and cordless is still working great. Great Bell, Great adaptor (still running on original), Great Key Pad, Great Speech and volume, Great features ONLY the Battery for cordless unit is no longer available, and if it is, it is priced absurdly. I have made one by modifying back home, and it has a distortion free range of over 100 ft within the home and across two floors. This is also a Panasonic, BUT looking at the quality of phones in the past one decade, I am not sure if this Panasonic would live to the expectations. Some times, I feel, that any other Indian brand may perform just as good or as unpredictable, though the failure rate in Indian devices is still much higher as quality assurance is not primary, nor is customer protection as good. On such occasions, a brand that has lived over decades would best be the risk.So much is clear, if it is Panasonic or Sony, it must be Japanese, else you cant be assured of quality and its life expectancy. The speech of this device is JUST Average. The Bell is reasonable for quiet homes to reach two rooms away. The LCD is too weak to be able to see. The features are not of much use at least to me. For its performance, it may not be worth more than INR 600, but only because it is Panasonic, one hopes to see its life across at least 10 yrs and that is a big doubt, hence, only 4 star for durability, but three for performance overall.I may be demanding quality for my money, but if my standards to accept rubbish were a routine, I would have rated way above 3 star.Any one reading this review till this line, may read all reviews and take a call. If it sells less than 900, it is worth the risk, only because it Panasonic, as the failure rates are very low due reasonably good quality assurance.

Best Mic Voice Clarity and Speaker Phone
Initially purchased Beetel M59. The issue with the Beetel M59 MIC background is too much noise and voice clarity is not good. After that purchased Panasonic Corded Telephone, this model is an available speaker phone and MIC is clearly one of the best models. You can wall mount Panasonic Corded Telephone.

Good. Works for apartment intercom
Only problem is date gets reset everytime you remove the phone line as the display works on the power in phone line.Does not need batteries.Display shows apartment no who is calling.
