We use Styrofoam for making templates to define the area that we want to treat when treating patients with electrons who have skin cancer. A lead alloy is poured around the styrofoam in a fixed size frame. We used to use much thicker styrofoam as it was also used to make 75 to 100mm shielding blocks. However this is now done using an automated shielding system so all we need now is 20mm styrofoam. This product was perfect for the job and cut accurately using a CNC controlled hot wire and at a fraction of the price of the thicker stuff. A great find saving the NHS some much needed money!

Have bought this product on several occasions. Great for making diorama bases and modelling accessories. Arrived in good time.

Very easy to cut and shape

I use this for carving and it's great, giving good detail.The only draw back over the blue stuff is that I can't use carbon paper to transfer an image to it because it is a dark grey. Instead I use the point of a sharp pencil to mark my design or work freehand.Perfect size and thickness for my needs.

Delivered quickly and well packaged, the foam is sturdier than expected which is great. Overall a good product.

This is a great product for sculpting, as it is very easy to carve with a sharp knife, and is easy to smooth with coarse sandpaper. I made some hills for 15mm wargaming and the sheet size is ideal for this.

This is not the foam you are expecting. It’s more like fibreglass.The dust and particles are unreal.Doesn’t cut or shape very well or as expected.Thought this was a waste of money
