The odor is extremely minimal. A new leather purse smells much, much stronger. My daughter is only nine years old and has successfully mastered a tekia after only twenty minutes! I do recommend also purchasing a Superslick Brasswind Mouthpiece Brush to clean the inside as well as anointing oil with frankincense and myrrh, I recommend Blessing from Jerusalem Anointing Oil, to occasionally condition the shofar. The frankincense and myrrh have antibacterial properties as well.

The plastic stand did not come with it, but it sounds great, and looks great just the same. I just keep it close, and blow it in celebration regularly. It is pretty easy to use, and I find it very fun. The tone is middle range, but can be very loud, so be careful where you blow it. I accidentally scared my daughter's dog by blowing it in hallal, when he was close.

Is this shofar really odorless?

It’s pretty close to completely odorless. Obviously there will be a smell, become of what it’s made of, but overall, not much at all.
