Does exactly what it's supposed to do with no hassle.
Connected a 20 year old joystick in 5 minutes with troubles at all. You may ask why...read the reviews on any sub $100 joysticks and they seem to last a week. This joystick was used for years and my 3 yo uses it to pilot his space ship and its solid and works well...why get something new when this still does what it needs to and is built so well.Tips for setup not in the instruction pamphlet: Regardless of your controller and what the instructions say try each mode for the best fit...unplug the usb each time you change the mode or windows won't detect the "new" devices. The windows calibration app can be found by typing "game controller" in windows search. If your controller has too many functions/ axis identified in the config. that's not a problem as long as the mode supports everything you do have.

We needed a 15-pin interface. The PCI card did not work.
Product works great. 15 pin joystick was installed & worked. Highly recommended.

Worked fine in Windows 7
I came across the old CH Mach I joystick I used as a kid. It's an old style 2 axis, 2 button joytsick. I have always preferred this style of joystick to the modern gamepads. The drivers for this product were already present in Windows 7, and it self configured very easily. The joystick calibration menu is hidden in Windows 7, but you can get to it by searching for joy.cpl Once the joystick was calibrated, it was automatically detected by the various games I tried. I had the product up and running in less than 5 minutes. I don't doubt that some of the fancier analog joysticks with multiple axis and multiple buttons might be more difficult, but for my purposes, this product worked very well.

Didn't work with my CH Products rudder pedals with gameport connector and sticks
I got this so I could use my CH Products rudder pedals with the gameport connector with my laptop that only has a USB port. I could get the pedals to work, but then neither of my gameport flight sticks would work. Both of these flight sticks worked back in the day with the old computer that had a gameport port. This device is not expensive, so if it doesn't work you're not out a lot of money, but don't have too high hopes for it.

Works with Linux
Worked in Fedora 35 and Arch Linux, using kernels 5.15.6 and above (did not test anything earlier). On Fedora it was pretty much plug and play IIRC, but on Arch I had to adjust permissions of /dev/input/js0 to rw for my user before this would show up in X-Plane 11.I'm using mode 2 for an old CH products 3 axis yoke + 1 axis rudder pedal set.

Easy to work with
IT was ok, but did not work well with my system. I have a WIN 7 system 64-bit and was using it for a flight controller - not enough control through the USB.
