One system to rule them all???????
First I’m going to start right of and tell you I’m no audiophile or home theatre expert (though if going to the cinema gives you a qualification then maybe i am) For the price this is definitely a bargain a speaker and woofer and this is no cheaply made speaker. I’m not going to lie and say this will beat any high end speaker on the market. But this speaker is no slouch either. It handles everything well, and adds a good depth. My first test was the Batman. The fight scene at the start with the rain and punches sounded well defined. I suppose this all comes down to budget. But if you don’t want to really break the bank. You can’t really go wrong with this speaker. It really handle everything so well; dialogue, action and soundtrack. I’m using this with a Sony Bravia tv, so if you are wondering if it works well with a different TV it does. You do lose a few things if your not using a Samsung tv Spacefit sound pro which analyses your space for a clearer and immersive sound But to be honest I found the speaker adds a brilliant experience to your movies (TV Shows) very easy to set up; I will had the speaker is quite big (length wise) but the woofer is well normal sized not too intrusive. I will tell you that I love this system, it really does add depth. Handles everything really well. And well if you don’t have a huge amount of space and can’t justify Spending a fortune on a home theatre system. I would recommend the Samsung Q HW Q800F. It looks nice sounds great. Also good for listening to music which you can connect via Bluetooth or airplay amongst other ways. You can also activate Alexa as well. In closing This is definitely a good system and well worth considering. I hope this review helps if it doesn’t please accept my apologies 😃

Top soundbar
Excellent product at a very good price. Sounds great. A vast improvement on the tv sound quality alone.

Great sound overall - but you’ll want to replace the included HDMI cable
Pros: • Noticeably better than the TV’s built-in speakers - far less tinny, and dialogue is much clearer. I no longer feel the need to use subtitles just to understand what’s being said. • Action scenes sound fantastic. The subwoofer adds real impact, with proper rumble and vibration when explosions or gunshots happen. Cons: • I initially had major sound quality issues when watching movies on Amazon Prime — dialogue levels would swing between being too loud and too quiet. • It seems like replacing the included HDMI cable with an 8K-certified one has fixed this, but it’s still disappointing that I had to troubleshoot this myself after paying a premium for a soundbar.

Loud and very bass-y but sound quality isn't particularly impressive.
Loud and very bassy but sound quality isn't particularly impressive. I bought this to replace a Sony ht-a5000 that died just outside of its manufacturer warranty. It is certainly louder and bassier than the Sony was but the actual quality of the sound is nowhere near as good. Dolby Atmos effects aren't very noticeable in my opinion and I don't think the room calibration mode does anything. The subwoofer overpowers everything and has to be turned right down to restore some balance. For the price I paid (£434), it is good value for money but I would not say it is worth the £799 RRP. Connectivity wise, the hdmi input doesn't support 4k120hz, so if your TV only has one of these ports, connecting via eArc might limit your options. The app is easy to use but doesn't offer much additional functionality. The sound modes just make it sound distorted

Great product, shipping. Careless packaging.
Arrived two days early - which is good. I'm infuriated that it had non UK standard power cables.

The Samsung Q800F Absolutely 💯 Rocks!!! When I set it up it even automatically paired up with my 65" Samsung QLED 80 TV for Q-Symphony. Very easy set up. The sound that fills my room is so much better than I ever expected. The Bass pumps out very nice lows from the smaller sized Subwoofer and the Highs, mids and center voice speakers all fill the room perfectly. For the price I paid i am very Impressed and Happy with my new Sound Syatem!

I think the sound bar and the sub, especially is very impressive however, as it comes, it is just a sub and a sound bar, which puts out very good sound, but if you get the added rear speakers that are compatible with it, it turns it into a powerhouse I’m not trying to sell Samsung stuff but I got a new Samsung TV and bought the sound bar to go with it. I have a long room and I knew I would need some type of rear speakers so the Samsung 9500 S rear speaker kit Works really good to turn it into a full home theater surround system. One note of caution though, each of the rear speakers is powered independently, so you will need multiple outlets if you’re trying to set this thing out correctly

This review is for the latest soundbar/sub combination, ie HW-Q800F. I added this system to an existing 2023 Samsung QNxxS90 series TV. As there have been horror stories on Samsung firmware updates bricking or otherwise damaging the functionality of either TV or soundbar, I never connected my TV to the network, never configured smart hub (using an Apple TV 4K for streaming) and never updated the firmware or used the SMART App. Out of the box the Q800F connects seamlessly to each other (sub and bar) and to the TV (via HDMI eARC and the included cable). I would use the eARC HDMI connection over BT pairing or Optical/WiFi to get the best data transfer. NO network connection, Samsung Account or SMART App are needed for set-up or managing the system (can all be done via the remotes). No network connection also means no (potentially) damaging firmware updates, no Samsung tracking all your moves, no annoying ads or pop ups and no laggy interface with the Samsung Smart Hub OS. I connected the A(pple) TV via HDMI to the TV and not the soundbar (as the instructions suggest). This seemed more meaningful to me as the eARC connection from TV to soundbar manages any output. And the ATV will show on the TV menu as a device choice rather than selecting it via the soundbar. Digital Audio Output Setting to Auto or Passthrough: I chose Auto because I confirmed that this gives me Dolby Atmos, but both should be equally ok for ATV. I don't have a cable box for TV but instead use a HD antenna for the local networks. WATCHOUT: When watching regular TV the Auto/Passthrough setting would not go through the Q800F. I had to choose PCM to get both Q800F and TV speaker output. Minor inconvenience for me as I don't watch much real time TV anyway. All Q800F features - so far - work with the TV including Q-Symphony (bar and TV speakers operate together). Sound quality especially in Dolby Atmos is excellent considering this is just a soundbar/sub combination. Too early to tell re: reliability/durability. If issues occur, a firmware update is always an option, but so far I was better off by staying offline with Samsung equipment.
