The Children's Bible

I grew up with this Bible, it's a beautiful bible complete with wonderful illustrations and the content is easily digestible for children (I used it as a little kid up to my confirmation).I've thought about this bible a lot, and I had to order it as a gift for my brother and sister-in law for their baby shower (they're devout Catholics and wanted a bible for their daughter). If their daughter gets half of the enjoyment I got out of it as a child and adult then it is money well spent.

Great condition! The book I received had not even been opened. The binding crunched when I opened to the first page.I had this bible as a child. Every page had a special memory. Beautiful illustrations.Very happy with my purchase.

I received this same book as a present from my grandparents when I was a child and as a grandparent myself was able to find a copy to send as a gift to mine. I still have mine and in mint condition. A perfect gift as this book is very well detailed with pictures and easy to read along. dialogue.

was just like the one from my childhood 😁 .. i purchased this book for sentimental reasons, was in decent condition (for how old it is) .. & still had the inscription in it .. to the child it was gifted to originally .. (In which I didn't mind) .. was just taking a trip down memory lane.

I am beyond pleased with this purchase. It is the same version I had as a child 40+ years ago and was so happy to receive it. As soon as I opened the front cover it brought back memories. And the best part is that this book is in excellent-near new condition. It was also packaged very well to protect it.

I'm actually an atheist, but I did grow up with this children's Bible and it has a great deal of sentimental value for me. I'll say this for the producers of this book, the artistry is phenomenal, although I must add, the images of Jesus makes me wonder if the artist was a former Nazi or something. This is by far the blondest, most blue-eyed, Aryan-looking Jesus I've ever seen. I've taken to calling the images of him in this book "Viking Jesus." I have to give it to them though, they pull no punches and gloss over nothing as far as the parts of the Bible that Christians today don't like to talk about, like Joshua's army sweeping through the land with fire and sword and slaying with the edge of the sword "all that hath breath, male or female, young and old." The battle scenes are depicted complete with piles of dead bodies full of arrows and it doesn't skip all the parts where "God" instructs His followers to stone people to death for unspeakable crimes like picking up sticks on the Sabbath. I highly recommend it to parents of children who want them to know just exactly what the Bible has to say about the god they worship, namely that this character is a blood-thirsty psychopath.

Had this Bible as a kid. Bought it as an adult. Easy to understand and there's pictures.

I bought this book for my granddaughter. I choice this book because it is exactly the one I had when I was a child. This brought back memories.

I remembered just LOVING the pictures ... first thing my grandson commented on was the excellent illustrations!

We were looking for a KJV bible for our grandchildren similar to what we had used in our early years and this fits the bill perfectly! Good quality hard cover bible with brightly colored pictures at a reasonable price! We will purchase more!

It was more used than I thought it was going to be and it has a handwritten inscription in it which I was not prepared for nor happy about.
