Excellent portable projector
Excellent product. Used mostly as a data projector. Is bright enough to see powerpoint presentations and excel sheets in a room with normal daylight at upto 60 inches. Video quality is fine. Loses brightness at larger screen sizes, but that's to be expected given the rating. The inbuilt battery is a great addition. No worries about a blank screen in the middle of a presentation. Works seamlessly with hdmi, vga, usb and wireless casting from both smartphone and a WiDi enabled laptop.Only feature missing is a lens cap. Is needed in a dusty country like India. Even if LG does not provide, seller can add on at a marginal cost.

A great projector
A very useful product. Very handy projector. Has USB, HDMI and VGA inputs. Most useful feature is the file reader which means one need not carry a laptop everywhere. Battery backup too is a useful feature.

From Tamilnadu. I bought LG PH550 from Amazon for Rs.42K. lts nice & Compact.
THIS IS your friend FROM Tamilnadu. I BOUGHT THIS LG PH550 AT AMAZON FOR RS.42K. GOOD PROJECTOR WITH HD QUALITY in perfect dark room only. cannot be used even in dim lightened rooms. I PLAYS ALL VIDEOS directly FROM THE PENDRIVE THROUTH USB SLOT. BUT IT NEEDS EXTERNAL SPEAKERS FOR SOUND EFFECT. THE SOUND IS VERY LOW. iam using panasonic sound bar. it does play all formats of videos. but mkv format indian movies above 900mb size does not supports sound. or even doesnt play at all. . but in mp4 format it supports all country's even full hd format upto 4Gb size. the images are sharp and good contrast. but remember we need a complete dark room.

Good projector, worth its price
Picture quality is excellent. Can be projected upto 150" in the dark.Wireless Screen share is good , works with almost every recent android phone. iOS devices can also be mirrored using Chromecast or Apple TV.There is no input video lag with wired connections like hdmi, mhl ,usb and vga inputs. Its ideal for cinema, gaming and other entertainment stuff. It comes with a handy remote and the actual model number is PH550G. It does not come with TV tuner. The best part is the life of the lamp is 30000hrs in which we may never have to replace the lamp. And it's definitely portable.

Great projector, great picture, ok sound
We ordered the ViewSonic M1 and the LG PH550 to see which one would better fit our needs. We ended up choosing the LG.The LG is a nice portable size that fits fine in the hand. It has decent sound, but you will likely want to connect to a better speaker if sound is important to your needs. The stand is a tiny little leg that doesn't really help too much, I would recommend buying a little projector or camera stand instead. So why did we choose the LG instead of the M1 if it is $100 cheaper and has better speakers and better stand? Because the picture brightness and clarity was amazing for such a little projector and while we could make up for lower quality sound with a separate speaker solution, we couldn't make up for lower quality video. Now, it doesn't have that great of a short throw, so don't expect it to fill a big space from close up, but in spite of all those critiques, the picture was so good we had to pick the LG. Is it perfect? No. But it meets our needs very well. Making out fine details like small words was easy and the picture just popped. However, don't expect it to be as stunning in a brightly lit room. It still requires some shadow to work effectively.I was able to wirelessly stream Youtube and Netflix from my Samsung S9+, while the projector was also connected to a bluetooth speaker with no issues. iPhones require a wired HDMI connection, which worked effortlessly. We are very happy with it and will update if anything changes.

everything i wanted!
i did a lot of research before buying this, but it's my first projector, and i'm not using a screen. i didn't want to spend more than 500, and would have stretched to 600, including for refurbished if it was a good deal, but i felt this was the best match for me, particularly since i wanted something easy to move around and ideally able to connect wirelessly. since you can't replace the lenses on these smaller projectors (and none of the regular sized projectors i found have native wireless capability), lamp life was also important. this checked all the boxes, particularly since it can work on both battery as well as plugged in.the major thing that concerned me was that many reviews stated it was too dim. first out of the box, and in a dark room it is more than light enough on super saver mode (which is the dimmest). tried it in a room with both curtains and blinds (but not blackout by any means) in daylight, and it was still ok in super saver, but certainly bright enough in full bright mode, projecting around 6 feet away (the closer it is, the brighter but smaller it is. i still got something like a 5 foot diagonal sized picture.note that i haven't ever projected from more than 10 feet away, but at 10 feet, picture is still good. i imagine you'd get better quality picture and better brightness if you had a screen, but for me, it does quite well as is.i'm worried that the nature of the bulb being LED, that this may be unusable in about 5-7 years (as LED gets dimmer with more use), but i suppose it won't be a bad run for $400.

Good but could be better for the money 💰
Looks really nice. Picture quality could be better but still no complaints. Little pricey but is lg so my home projector is lg and im very pleased so I decided to go with lg again. Build quality is very good. I like the included case. Battery around 2 hours and depending what is plugged in. ( if u use the usb port for power for fire tv or some other streaming devices the battery life shortens )
