OXO Good Grips Heavy Duty Garlic Press, Die-Cast Zinc, Black

OXO makes THE best kitchen utensils, and this garlic press is no exception. I was surprised how weighty it is. It can crush multiple garlic cloves at once with ease and has a self-cleaning feature to push out the debris, which is why I chose it. The handles have a nice grippy feel, and it's dishwasher-safe. This is a lifetime garlic press--you'll never need to buy another.

OXO Heavy duty garlic press is just that. Had a Cuisnart high end that was so-so. This press is so easy to use and clean. Very good price. The red cleaning part works extremely well. Recommend in every kitchen.

This is the perfect garlic press. The bowl holds at least three large cloves and up to 5 smaller ones and the flat press pushes them all through the mincer with ease...even with my slightly arthritic hands. Flip the handle, and it cleans the mincer easily. It is weighty, but that's a good thing - it's definitely built to last. The padded handles are a plus - so comfortable to use! I had tried another brand, a brand I know well and love, but I had to return it. Marketed with a large bowl to press multiple cloves of garlic, it sounded perfect but it just didn't work due to its design. Both are similarly priced but go with the OXO. You'll be glad you did.

Not sure why it is so hard to find a good garlic press, but this is halfway there. It’s sturdy, washes well in the dishwasher without tarnishing, easy enough to clean. There are gripes though, the garlic needs to constantly be adjusted into the lower portion, otherwise it just kind of squeezes out and wastes a lot of the clove. It’s OXO quality but the design could use some more improvement. I had another by Xyliss that I loved but it was made of a cheap veneered metal that ended up being junk. This OXO one is a good middle of the road option if you’re hard pressed and just need something for the job.

Perfect! Easy to use, with ergonomic handles. Easy to clean by just flipping the handle over and pressing. No loose parts to find or lose. Sturdy. Recommend.

Our garlic press broke, so bought this based on oxo product reputation and some experience with their other products. This one did not disappoint. Solid, and feels very strong. And... It works great!. Also like this style that has the cleaning piece to poke through the holes when washing. Recommend!

Après avoir essuyer les plâtres avec deux ou trois presse ail dont un zyliss, celui-là est parfais : solide, bien pensé donc nettoyage rapide et efficace. Il est un peu lourd, il ne faut pas le laissé tombé... Mais il respire la qualité. A part qu'il n'épluche pas ni n'enlève le germe central tout seul... ni fait le café, mais vraiment excellent.

Good quality, heavy feel. Efficient garlic crusher however the red bit doesn't really push out the remaining bit for clean up however I feel like it does help with the clean up by removing garlic remnants from the holes. Would recommend this item

i hesitated buying this as there were cheaper options, but decided i didn't want to be disappointed in an inferior model and risk having to buy a new one. I have no regrets now as it is wonderful to use. You can put a few cloves in there, and if you're 'petite' like me, you might need to use 2 hands to squeeze down on it but because of the thick ergonomic handles, doesn't put stress on your palms or wrist. It's heavy duty so just be careful not to drop it on your counter or floor. Also the clever design means you can flip one handle around so it pushes out the remaining garlic trapped in the holes. Rinse out the press right after using so it makes clean up a breeze, it simply rinses out. It says you can use it without peeling the garlic, but it got a little messy and since i don't want to waste any of the garlic, I've always removed the skins first. i also use a small knife to scrape off the minced garlic after pressing, then use it to shift the flattened cloves around, and re-press, so I don't waste anything. I love how it makes light work of mincing all my garlic - and I'm very happy with my purchase.
