Fox Run Stove Ring, 5x5, Silver

One of these eye rings has been in my mother's home and my home forever. If you have a pot that is too hot or something that can easily stick to the bottom of your pan, this will do the trick. It immediately gets your pot off the eye/flame and lowers the temperature. It can give you a little breathing room to stir or add ingredients before the items sticks, curdles, or boils over. It's been a life saver many times. I don't think many people know about this handy gadget.

Works well but small for burner

I bought this many months ago, to use on my new electric stove. At first I was hesitant and afraid it might scratch the burners, but not so. I now use it regularly, everything cooks just as well without the scorchy bottom. And less boil overs. Very sturdy, does not bend, hasn't warped.

Great to use on top of stoves and keep from damaging induction and glass temperatures on casserole dishes and heating water on glass stovetop.

It’s a lifesaver if you own an electric stove that can only regulate between burning inferno and hot as hades!

I am leary to use this as it's pretty small to go on my gas top stove for my glass Pyrex coffee perculator

Pleased to have found a Star Ring replacement for a glass coffee maker. This recent Star Ring purchase is too small for even the smallest grate on my gas range. Size does matter. The star ring itself is sturdy and it does protect my 1960's Pyrex Glass coffeemaker from breakage. However, this Star Ring does not align, falls through the grate, and without much effort to stabilize, the glass coffeemaker would be unsteady.

Nobody is using asbestos covers for century when cooking. Instead of asbestos, I had similar one wire made but archaic, used & aged - given me by somebody, that after several years I had used it, this year it broke in 2 pieces. This one has the same shape as that broken, but it seems to be like an aluminium made and because of it: I am thinking that it is better one option than I had. I ordered 2 at once, but I am thinking to buy again more in the nearest future. I am happy to find it on Amazon. It took more time to get it, but I am really happy and NO COMPLAINTS at all.
