Is this a genuine Apple cable? Will it work on Iphone 5c?

I see another answer that it is not a grnuine cable, BUT the cable i received WAS a genuine Apple cable in the sealed original Apple packaging. Apple model number A1511. I bought this one to replace a worn out same model cable i bought in an Apple store 4 years ago. Looks exactly the same. This short cable works well in my car without a lot of excess cable to get in the way. It is clearly both a charge and data cable as Apple Car Play works as expected (and no, my VW head unit does not support wireless Car Play - I wish).

Can i charge my wirelesss mouse with this cord?

Only if the mouse has that lightning adapter port. However, I don't think any wireless mouse could be charged with such a cable. Wireless mouse uses replaceable non-rechargeable AA batteries so no question of recharging a mouse.

Does this work on a IPhone 5?

Yes. The iPhone 5 was the first iPhone to use the Lightning connector.

Will this charger work for a iphone 12?

Yes but you will have to use a different charging brick rather than Apples new fast charging bricks that are USB-C. I’d recommend a USB-C to lightning cable for newer iPhones
