DAI-KAIJU MONO

Hilarious treat for fans of Ultraman, Godzilla (and etc.)!
A very, very funny and entertaining movie! A very creative and hilarious way of paying homage to the tv shows and movies of the kaiju genre of the latter half of the 20th century! If you grew up watching the Ultraman, Godzilla, Gamera, Mothra, etc. movies and tv series, you’ll enjoy it even more especially when you get all the references, jokes, and cameos! With a rating of TV-14, it is practically a fun movie for the whole family (parental discretion advised for children under 14 years of age, of course)!

Big Monsters, Big Fun
As a lifelong fan of monster movies, I was excited to add Kaiju Mono to my Blu-ray collection - and I have to say, it did not disappoint. This Japanese film, directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, delivers all the thrills, spills, and giant monster battles that fans of the genre have come to expect. The film centers around a group of students who stumble upon a mysterious island inhabited by massive, terrifying creatures known as kaiju. What follows is an epic battle for survival as the students, aided by a few unlikely allies, try to escape the island and defeat the monsters once and for all.But what sets Kaiju Mono apart from other monster movies is its sense of humor and self-awareness. The film doesn't take itself too seriously, and there are plenty of moments of comedic relief amidst the chaos and destruction. The characters are likable and engaging, and the kaiju themselves are wonderfully designed and rendered with a mix of practical and CGI effects. On Blu-ray, the film looks and sounds fantastic. The lush jungle landscapes and detailed monster designs are brought to life in vivid detail, and the bombastic score by Shiro Sagisu is given room to shine.Overall, if you're a fan of kaiju movies, or just looking for a fun, action-packed adventure with a touch of humor, Kaiju Mono is definitely worth checking out. It's big, it's bold, and it's a blast from start to finish.

Fun movie
Fans of Kota Ibushi, and/or Godzilla type monster movies will enjoy this. It was super funny. I watched the subtitled version and enjoyed it, I do plan on watching the dubbed as well to see how it compares, and really.. the movie was that much fun that it's worth watching again.

Cute and funny
Kota Ibushi fights Peacock Godzilla aka Save a Kaiju, Ride a Wrestler. It was cute. Kota isn't a bad actor. It was actually better than I was expecting it to be so that was fun. They didn't take it seriously. Lots of little digs and jokes towards monster movies, anime, Japanese culture and Western cultures. Followers of Japanese wrestling promotion DDT will recognize a number of cameos from members of that company.I prefer original soundtrack with subtitles, but what I heard of the dubbed version was funny enough for me to watch it again sometime with the dubbed audio track.

Works in the UK!
Arrived super fast! I haven't watched yet but I wanted to let anyone buying in the UK know this DOES work on region B players. It says Region A on the back but it plays fine on my PS5. Anyway this combines Kaiju and Puro which is right in my wheelhouse I'm sure it will be fun and silly :)
