The kids love reading these usborne first reading books.They let the adult read in intro on the left, often in rhyme, and then the kids finish the page with the words on the right.The pictures and the easy canter of the rhyme make it fun and rewarding for the kids to read them.This is a fun book which reiterates the letters 'ss' and also deals with moving home, how people feel about things, and some funny places people live

I bought this (and a few others from the range) for my little girl who is 4 and she loves them. They are perfectly pitched for first reading books, plenty of repetition to build confidence. The parent reads a line and then the child, which we really enjoy doing together and allows the story to progress.

A really cheerful , easy to read little book for young readers. I bought this as a present for my granddaughter, who has just started school and is learning to read.

I bought this for my 3 year old as she's very interested in seeing her older brother who is in reception learn to read. It's a lovely introduction to phonics for her and she loves the rhyming in the story.

My 4 year old is going great guns with this 'read it together' type series.

My 4 year old is a keen reader and has started to read independently. The Usborne series is great for sharing with your little ones as they begin to read on their own. The illustrations are excellent; they provide children with clues to the words they are reading without making it too easy. Each story in the series gets progressively harder, but builds on the words the children have already learnt. Would highly recommend.
