Creative, Fun, Quality Speaker Kit at a Reasonable Price! Supply AAA Batteries & Better Screwdriver
This Science Can Robot Bluetooth Speaker kit comes with everything your child needs to construct their own Bluetooth speaker! Way cool, yes? (Everything, that is, except for three AAA batteries and a screwdriver that works. You might want to supply those yourself if you are giving this as a gift.). Your child can build this speaker relatively easily on their own and end up with a real Bluetooth speaker that they can actually use to play their own music! The moving robot arms are very cute and an added plus! Similar DIY Bluetooth speaker kits can be had for anywhere from $8 to $30. (It’s amazing that there are so many!). Most are priced in the $15-$25 range. Judging by the star ratings, price does not seem to correlate well with quality and user experience. At the list price of $19.99, this Bluetooth speaker kit falls exactly in the middle of the normal price range. As it is new, it is hard to tell where its star rating will end up. Most seem to eventually fall into the 4.3 to 4.5 stars range. This kit is reasonably priced and good quality! But you might be able to find equal quality kits just a little bit cheaper. (But maybe not as cool! Those swinging robot arms are a great touch!) So if you think your child will vibe with the robot theme, get this kit! (And supply three AAA batteries and a better screwdriver to go with it.). Your child will have the thrill of building something interesting, learning something about electronics and circuit boards, and jiving to music played through a Bluetooth speaker they made themselves!

Fun for all ages
Bought it for my son’s birthday. He just turned 7, and I helped him put it together. He loved it and we made memories. It’s not really loud but I guess that’s expected. Would be cool if it had a rechargeable battery pack, it does go through batteries fairly quick.

Ok for kids but material is not strong enough and battery compartment needs cover.
Great fun for kids. Could be more sturdy. Battery compartment needs cover.

Neat, Well‑Organized Kit That Kids Will Love to Build
Quick Take: A thoughtfully designed, well‑organized kit that lets kids build a working Bluetooth speaker shaped like a robot. Quality materials, clear instructions, and a fun rotating‑head feature make it a gift that’s both creative and functional. Full Review: This build‑your‑own Bluetooth speaker kit is well‑priced, well‑made, and clearly designed with kids in mind. The robot’s only “robotic” function is its rotating head — but that’s enough to give it personality, and I know children will get a kick out of it. I haven’t assembled it yet because I’m saving it for my son to build, but I did open the box and film an unboxing video. Inside, everything is neatly packaged: the wooden casing pieces (like puzzle parts) are precisely cut and printed with crisp, colorful designs; the hardware is bagged separately; and all the necessary components are included — except for the AAA batteries. You’ll also want a decent screwdriver on hand. The instruction manual is excellent: full‑color illustrations, step‑by‑step visuals, and a logical build sequence. Even without building it yet, I can tell the process will be straightforward and satisfying. This is the kind of STEM gift that works for kids who love tech and for those who just enjoy making things. The end result is something they can actually use — a portable Bluetooth speaker — and be proud to show off. For the price, the attention to detail and presentation make it a standout. PROS • Well‑organized kit with all parts included (except batteries) • High‑quality, printed wooden casing pieces • Clear, illustrated step‑by‑step instructions • Fun rotating‑head design adds personality • Functional end product — a working Bluetooth speaker • Great value for the quality and presentation CONS (or not so much "cons" but things to keep in mind) • Requires AAA batteries (not included) • Only “robotic” function is head rotation

The rotating head feature adds a fun, interactive element, and the electronics give hands-on experience with circuits and basic STEM concepts. Once assembled, the Bluetooth speaker works well with phones or tablets, producing decent sound for its size. The components feel durable, and the kit encourages creativity and problem-solving. Great educational project
A fun little build that actually works and looks cool once assembled — just don’t expect concert‑level volume without some static creeping in. 🔧 Real‑world performance At normal listening levels, it sounds clean and surprisingly full for a DIY kit. Push the volume too high and you’ll hear static or distortion, especially on bass‑heavy tracks — totally expected for small hobby‑grade amps. Bluetooth pairing is quick and stable; no random disconnects. The enclosure fits together neatly and feels more solid than typical “kid STEM kits.” 🧪 Build experience Assembly is straightforward and genuinely enjoyable — wires, screws, panels, the whole hands‑on experience. Instructions are clear enough that beginners won’t get lost. The transparent housing makes the internal components look cool once lit up. Good project for teens, hobbyists, or anyone who likes seeing how speakers actually work. ⭐ Pros & Cons Pros Cons Fun, easy build Static at high volume Clean sound at moderate levels Not meant for loud listening Stable Bluetooth connection Plastic housing can scratch Great educational project Amp isn’t very powerful 🎧 Closing thoughts

Fun to assemble, perfect for the age group.
So this is really cool, and assembling it with my daughter was a lot of fun. Some steps were tricky, but everything involved was easy enough for her to complete alone. That’s good news for future kits, that she can jump in and out as her time allows without “needing” one of her parents to be free at that exact moment. That being said, I want to point out a few things about this kit. As far as the tools required, you’ll need to have a screwdriver since it doesn’t include one. The instructions are pretty good, breaking each step down, however the photos are a bit dark, so you’ll want to take your time reviewing them. Don’t let me scare you away, as I said. This is absolutely perfect for the age group and teaches the need to follow step by step instructions to achieve success and complete the project. These are good things. All in all, I like it and my daughter had an educational blast. She really loves her new dancing speaker. Even more so because she built it. I’ll be getting more of these kinds of kits for us to complete.
