Must have in your home studio.
I just picked this from Tanotis/Amazon. I connect it through M-Audio M-Track Plus audio interface to Garageband of Macbook Air. I am a musician and have my own home based studio. I use this microphone for vocals and to take the sounds of Tabla and other accuastic instruments. Its just superb. Its very powerful and works only with phantom power. I have completed a few tracks and am almost ready to launch them. Well, people who have listened to my final products are just mesmerised with the quality of sound take. Its very difficult to distinguish between the commercial studio sound takes and this. Only one needs to have the right kind of settings and atmosphere and you are ready to go. This was the cheapest condenser microphone available online at Rs. 3319 and was just launched. Interestingly from the moment i completed my order, amazon began to show out of stock. But I got my order and am very much satisfied with the product.Tanotis retailor should note: Since it needs phantom power, an XLR male/female cord must be provided in the pack. The XLR with 1/8 cord which the company provides can be used with computer directly but XLR male/female cord can put this device to maximum use with proper phantom power supply. This is the cheapest condenser microphone in the country. If you are a musician go for it and explore this device.

Brief review!
Hey! I bought the Neewer 700 few months back and here's my review. The body is well built. The sound for vocals is excellent, very very low noise levels( That depends on how silent the environment is and the audio interface).Great one for broadcasting, making videos, live speech, you'll fall in love if your goal belongs to these. When recording for music, make sure you record in a sound proof room, else it will pick up some background noise.I tried it with guitars, its kind of good, but not very good. You won't get the perfect output as soon as you plug in and record. You will need to do some adjustments, like sound proofing the room, correct mic placement(generally just below the neck-soundhole junction gives good results).Overall a great mic to afford.USE IT WITH AN AUDIO INTERFACE TO GET RID OF NOISE AND TO GET QUALITY SOUND(I recommend Behringer UM2 or Focurite scarlett solo).Regards!

Good Mic With Standard Budget
The product is good... I just got the product & used it in a simple way... Didn't use any Phantom Power... Just plugged into my computer & recorded some voices & noises... Looking forward & will tell if there any problem occur with this product... For now, here are some positive & negative review about this product....POSITIVE :1. Quality is good..2. Good studio mic in standard budget...3. Useful for Podcast, Voice over recording, Dubbing for short films etc.4. No need for expensive pre-amp... (If need, low cost Pre-amp is enough for this...)NEGATIVE :1. Noise reduction is standard... (Not like other pro mic)2. Need soundproof room for proper recording... (Catches outdoor noises including vehicle sound, indoor noises etc...)That's all for now...

i feel this is a great product at the price offered.
I have not used this product myself but after some research, i feel this is a great product at the price offered. But you have to pair it with a good pre amp and phantom power to really bring it alive and have any useful use :).I m not sure of the condenser plates on these ones, some say they use just small electret units which are dirt cheap and very noisy but I have not checked it personally. This unit will be great especially for pod casters and hobby home artists who wish to upgrade from the basic mics.At this price its definitely worth the try.If you know how to tweak it right, you can make it work like a charm and get nice sounds out of it.On board sound cards are cheap and may not work always with this unit. Its advisable to get some audio interfaces like the Focusrite Scarlett or Yamaha Steinberg DPRE, for this mic for the best resultsMight buy one in the coming weeks, just to open up the circuit someday and take a look inside, when I become a bit free from my work.Worth a try for sure.

what a con
I took this mic apart to see exactly what you get for your money. The capsule although it looks like a medium sized diaphragm capsule is actually a 50 pence10mm capsule inside a better mic case. The microphone cable, although it says low noiseis the worse cable i HAVE EVER SEEN.. It is definitely not low noise, or is it professional. My advise is to avoid it like the plague, the Chinese seem to lack any morals in the way they describe items.you have been warned|!!!!!!!

Astonishing Value
Bought for my 15 yo daughter's first solo gig, using live through a Yamaha portable PA (via small Soundcraft mixer for 48v phantom power and better EQ). Sounds much better than dynamics for the classical and jazz numbers (though she will probably use AKG D770 handheld for convenience when she needs to move around). Feedback rejection is much better than I expected for a hyper-cardioid (rear lobe definitely present but small enough not to be an issue). Noise floor is also plenty good enough for live sound, or recording of all but quietest of sources. Would definitely recommend using phantom power for best s/n ratio. For fifteen quid including a decent enough shock mount and cable (not used), it's an absolute gem. No regrets whatsoever. P.S. - A tip for anyone encountering difficulty removing mic from shockmount, as mentioned in another review: squeezing the two spring-loaded tabs on the mount will allow the mic to slip out with zero effort.

Microfono Neewer NW-700

Cheap, but far too much hiss
I took a chance on this as the Behringer XM8500 was unavailable at the time I was looking to get a mic on a budget. I had bought a Behringer desk at the same time and was worried about the amount of hiss I could hear when I set the system up. Initially I thought it was the desk but the XM8500 became available a couple of days after my order, and having bought one of those the sound issues disappeared. It seems from other reviews that these microphones can be decent but the one I received was absolutely not. The XM8500 however is very good for the spoken voice recordings I'm using it for, and I would recommend it as a budget option.
