BG Nexus NBS Range Brushed Steel Switches & Sockets - Full Range of Matching Items (1 Gang Dimmer Switch)

So I purchased this switch to replace the BG Nexus triple switch I bought just over a year ago. I turned the original switch on last week to be met with crackling, fizzing and flickering lights.... After a few attempts and a good examination it became apparent that one of the 3 switches had failed... After only 14 months! I decided it was just easier to buy a replacement rather than use the '25 year guarantee' ... Not worth the hassle as I fitted it myself and I am not a qualified electrician.... There's the get outta jail free card for the company. Anyway..... Hopefully this one will last

It’s a switch, a very poorly made switch. Looked good on the wall but connections failed and switch became detached (and raised up on the Left hand side) within 1 month of installation.Was it bad luck...a 1 in 100 faulty unit?I contacted the seller but no response so will never know. Not impressed and not ideal when so close to finishing off a DIY room refurbishment. Thank you for your tacky mince product...straight in the bin!

I am a home diy’er and I brought this to replace a temperamental dimmer switch.To me it feels pretty robust, I fitted it easily, and we prefer the look of this finish in our house. I am never sure about the quality of the screws...they went in fine and do the job.The device has been installed for a few weeks now and is working as it should.

My wife wanted to upgrade all the sockets and light switches in the house. She liked the brushed steel and so i ordered a couple to make sure they were ok. Absolutely brilliant they were so easy to install and looked great, i am slowly in the process of replacing all the sockets and switches now (happy wife happy life)

The media could not be loaded.  Have used BG in my old house but note this time a thin plastic liner is on the inside so I imagine will stop a live wire making the cover live , so thats a good feature. I connect the cpc anyway as it still is advised. The short screws are no use to me and twice now I've had to reuse the other old screws, which didn't have a flat head. Will change them later. All good otherwise

Didn't work. Had for a couple of months before we got an electrician to install, only to find one of the switches didn't work. Also the screws that come with it are way too short for the average uk back box, so if you purchase this you'll have to use your old screws. I would advise finding another brand.

This switch has lasted 8 months before becoming faulty. It was installed by an electrician. Probably just a faulty one as the others ordered seem to have lasted fine.

these are attached to 6 leds, works reasonably well although a bit flakey on low brilliance, you can adjust the lower setting that goes some way to helping but had to reduce the brightness range quite a lot, maybe its the bulbs im using??
