My dad is 76 years approx and he vouches by this Chyawanprash. He shifted from Dabur to this probably a year back or so and hasn't looked back. It greatly helps him with gut health. We do whatever is best for him as he has parkinsons and few things are working very well for him. This seems one of them. Overall a great buy and recommended over others .

Recently my dad had a heart attack and like many of us he has not taken care of himself so he is diabetic and has high BP. After the attack the doctors said he could not have bypass as he was too weak. I needed to look for alternatives to cure him. So I started with a special meal plan. We removed rice, wheat, milk, milk products, alcohol, eggs and meat. This was coupled with a month long fasting plan where week 1: he ate only have 1 meal in a day, week 2: 2 meals and week 3: 3 meals in a day. After that only 3 meals in a day. No morning tea, brunch, evening tea etc. Strictly three meals a day. All meals to happen between 10 AM to 6 PM. This process was so effective that we had to stop his insulin, his BP meds and a whole lot of other medication. This diet change is huge since he has been overweight most of his life. We had to give him some essential nutrients to help with recovery, this is where this chaywanprash comes into place. It has jaggery so I wouldn't recommend for sugar patients but if taken only three or four times a week and just a tea spoon is good for you and will not do you any damage. We noticed from his tests that the nutrients are better absorbed by his system if he eats this chaywanprash so I can say that this is an effective medicine for nutrient absorbsion in the body. But the major change is in his diet, the quantity he eats, the types of food (nothing processed and all whole grains like jowar, bajra, kala Chana etc). That contributed majorly towards his recovery and the chaywanprash really helped the process. This one has all natural ingredients which is really good for a damaged body. Highly recommended!

The lid of the bottle was not closed tightly the bottle was received with contents leaking from the side.

I have tried Chyawanprash of several brands, but this is seriously very different. Very thick in consistency, and not over sweet. I have found immunity to improve with regular usage. One thing I am not sure of, is whether it uses sugar or jaggery. Priced a bit on the higher side, but worth it for the benefits you gain. Definitely recommended.

78g jaggery per 100g!!! Amla is just 5g. Tastes 90% like jaggery. 10% like chyavanprash
