Bang on trend
Did you read that article in The Sunday Times Magazine about Denby Pottery? No? Perhaps you're just not as middle class as me (lol). Did you watch Squid Game? C'mon you must have, the world and its dog saw it. Anyway, for the culturally unenlightened, the story goes that a Denby mug appeared in a scene in Squid Game and the Koreans went crazy for it. Now they can't get enough of Denby in Korea and if the Koreans say it's it's in: you'd better believe it's in. So, Claret bought some Denby plates before reading that article and was bang on trend again without even trying.However, as William Morris once said, 'do not have anything in your home which is not both beautiful AND useful. Appearance wise, I was expecting a blue and white plate. The plate is not exactly white, it's got an off white mottled stone effect which is common to Denby pottery. It has a slight bowl shape to it so if you like a lot of gravy on your dinner or nice saucy curry, it's ideal. The plate is heavy and I'm told hard to break so not only fashionable but beautiful and useful too.

I have these already in a blue but as these were on offer they are perfect as extra plates when needed. Match with the blue well if you wanted to mix and match

Llegaron a tiempo, pero destrozados.
Los platos eran preciosos, pero llegaron hechos añicos. Los compré como "de 2ª mano", ya esperaba algún desperfecto en alguno, pero los describían como "muy buenos". Ya había comprado otros, calificados "como nuevo" o "muy bueno" y fenomenal, me refiero a platos de esta marca, pero esta vez no fue así. Los devolví. Amazon me hizo el reembolso muy rápido. Yo creo que estaban mal embalados, sin la protección adecuada y sin indicaciones en el paquete que advirtieran de su fragilidad.Después compré una vajilla completa, nueva, y llegó perfecta.
