The box is fairly lightweight for its size. It was larger than I expected. The color was a very matte black, it opens and closes well, and the lamp is an antiqued gold or bronze color. The inside is unfinished. I would have liked to see the inside finished a bit better. There is no lock and I don’t see any way you might add one. There are little rubber pads on the bottom to prevent scratching. I bought the box as decor for my console table and am very happy with it. I don’t know if it would be sturdy enough for daily use as the wood used is a little fragile.

Needed just a little TLC to push these over the top... 1) sand the edges around the lid, they are sharp and can give splinters 2) Cut a piece of felt, leather, or vinyl to cover the bottom and reduce sounds of things sliding around in the boxI bought two!

The box looks great and I love the function of the hinges. But mine came in cracked. Don’t think this is common but unfortunately it happened for me.

I was hesitant to buy this, but it turned out to be a quality box. I am placing my dog's ashes in it, along with his collar and a few other items. Perfect size and looks very nice on my dresser. Much less money than others I had found on Etsy.

It's not the sturdiest box ever, but for thirty bucks it's worth it. However, I didn't get the combination lock that was supposed to come with it. Funnily enough, I did get the instruction card on how to adjust the combo.Edit: Contacted Amazon regarding missing lock. Was sent a new lock without issue.

I've purchased six different wooden boxes in hopes of finding a few high-quality options for my business. This particular box showed great potential as it felt very solid when I removed it from the packaging. The hinge was smooth, and the lid opened easily. Unfortunately, I discovered that the top and base of the box are not made from a single, solid piece of wood. Instead, they consist of multiple smaller pieces glued side-by-side together, with the seams covered by paint. The box I received appeared to have been poorly crafted, with the pieces cut too narrowly, preventing a seamless join between them.

Well made woos box useful for multi purpose, u would highly recommend. Great wood chest for a great price

The hinge is already broken. It was very pretty thou.
