Flowmaster 71226 FlowFX Muffler 2.5" Offset Inlet Center Outlet - Moderate Sound 409 Stainless Steel

Just as I hoped. Put this muff on my 99 suburban with the 5.7 v8. Has a nice sound to it at idle, mild sound under throttle. Zero drone at highway driving.

My husband ordered these for his 2006 chevy silverado. He was able to weld them on and his truck is much quieter and they seem to be working great. His truck is also running much better.

Very good quality muffler. The inlet and outlet are both female 2.5, sorry if my terminology is off but you can slide your typical 2.5 right inside either end. It came wrapped in bubblewrap and there was only a very small ding that may have even been intentional.It sounds quiet in terms of other modified cars, but much much MUCH better than stock. It has the low pitched Subaru growl but won't turn necks which is what I was looking for. To my surprise it sounds more pronounced at idle and 2-3k rpm than 5-7k rpm.Also something I haven't seen anyone mention in reviews is its effect on performance, I've noticed a considerable amount of throttle response and acceleration. It's not like you're going to get 1 second off your 0-60 but it seriously improves the fun factor of my car . I was really surprised after-all its only $40. Highly recommended this muffler is such a steal for the money. No idea why its so cheap but I love it.

I see a LOT of reviews about this muffler being TOO quiet.....Yea....maybe inside the vehicle but thats what you want for the most part. Its okay to hear a little rumble but i want to listen to my jams over the muffler sometimes, This muffler is perfect for my application being in NY state and their nazi laws for modifying vehicles. I am absolutely thrilled with this muffler its a great flow through design the packing does a great job and after about 1500 miles it has gotten a little bit louder. I was looking for reduced flow restriction for a full 2.5 inch exhaust all the way back. This fit the bill. I like the growl it allows. I dont hear much of a drone but if you check youtube theres a way you can stop drone at certain rpm ranges it will help you kill it off for good.This product was used in conjunction with a resonator on a 2004 corolla 6 speed standard.

It has a straight through design. I am thinking they are going loud. No they are not. They are amazingly quiet to me. Way quieter then my 2 chamber flowmasters. I am very impressed and happy with these mufflers.

This has to be one of my favorite "straight-trough" mufflers on the market, as it provides easy flow AND cuts the exhaust drone.I highly recommend the center inlet and offset outlet for almost any application where needed.

It appears to be well built and it is pretty quiet. Not much louder than stock.

Love this muffler. Bought it for my 5.4 f150 that was straight piped when I got it. Don’t expect it to be a loud muffler, it’s actually pretty quiet, noise probably barely above stock but it sounds so good. No drone or anything.
