Our dog is a finicky eater. Primarily eats Merrick wet food. But she actually likes this dog food. We were pleasantly surprised how much she enjoys it. It is something we take w us on trips w our dog. Easy to transport and does not require refrigeration. Trout will not go near any other dry dog food. So we are happy w this purchase.

Hi there!! We are SNICKERS, age 2…the “little guy” 14# … &. HERSHEY, age 3…..19# AKC Shih Tzu’s We have weaned ourselves off of Badlands Ranch beef and onto this stuff. Much, much better!! We love this stuff!! No more food disintegrating into powder!! These little pieces are the best and we LOVE the RAW BITES!!! Our Mom tried it once before a long time ago with a large bag to save $ but it was stale and we wouldn’t eat it!!! So now she has decided it is better to order us 3 small bags per month. It’s more expensive, but it’s better for us. “Worth every penny” is what she says. So she opens the bags and picks out the raw bites and puts them in a little jar and adds them to out breakfast bowls so they last evenly. (She’s pretty smart) We are super healthy & super spoiled, too!!! We’ve only been to the vet’s for neutering and regular vaccinations/checkups!!! We get a little bit of this in the morning for breakfast with a half squirt of salmon oil on it…. And for dinner we get 1/4C of this and we split a Merrick’s Little Plates teeny tiny steak dinner….sometimes, lamb stew!! Canned pumpkin several times a week. Always healthy grain free snacks and chewies!!! Sigh!!! We have these old folks well trained!!! LOL Well, that’s it…this is the BEST dry food for us little guys!!! It’s really good tasting stuff….we run around like crazy…no upset tummies….great poop. And all those things that make our hooomans happy!!! Tell yours to get you some!!!! They have kinds for big guys, too!!! Bye…WOOF, WOOF…..for you non verbal guys!!! LOL

I got this by accident, as i normally feed my dog Merrick's salmon based kibble. I have been giving this occasionally, as he has a sensitive stomach, and he tolerates it well, and seems to like the flavor. It's nice to be able to vary his diet a little without triggering vomiting! Will be likely to buy this again.

This food changed my new shelter dogs skin & coat within 3 days, per my vet.

My Papillion loves this food! But unfortunately this time when I ordered it there was no freeze dried raw food. The manufacturer should do better with quality control. Those pieces are his favorite. I gave a four star because it’s the first time this happened.

My rescue Chihuahua didn’t have a great appetite despite trying prescription and other high quality (Wellness brand) food. I figured I’d try one last food before assuming she’s just a finicky eater. I gave her a few pieces and she scarfed them down. So I tried to gradually ween her over to this new food but the little brat actually would spit out her old food on the floor and only eat the Merrick (pictured). She especially loves the little freeze dried bits. Despite the abrupt switch over to this food, no upset tummy from either end. Almost at the end of our first bag and she still loves it. The recommendation portion is almost twice as much as her last food, but the shape of the pellets and the puffiness seem to account for this, just something to keep in mind; I’ll be ordering food a little more often because of this but seems well worth it.

October of 2025 I purchased a 8-week-old female Yorkie before I brought her home I decided to go on YT to try to find the best dog food for her and that's when I came across this dog food. I purchased the 10 pounds bag hoping that she would like it she is now 7 months old, and she gets excited when it's time to eat.

So glad my picky little eater ( 2.5 years old Maltese with a sensitive stomach ) likes this kibble. I have tried a few different brands and flavours and he wouldn’t even go near them. This one; he likes! Yay
