My cooler is an older Igloo thermoelectric, and Igloo no longer sells a motor/fan assembly as a separate part for my cooler. So I thought I would gamble and see if the Koolatron version could be adapted to my cooler. As it turns out, I got lucky. By drilling the shaft hole larger on the Igloo inner fan, drilling 2 new screw holes in the case, and modifying the new motor bracket, I was able to get everything to fit together, and now it's working like a charm. I have no doubt that installing it in a Koolatron unit that it was designed for would be quick and easy. I am not recommending that anyone else try this - I have obviously voided the warranty, and if it hadn't worked I would be out the price of the part. However, I can say that the new Koolatron motor runs quietly and the cooling performance of the box is as good as it ever was. So - bottom line - I am pleased with the quality and performance of the part, and also with the quick shipping by the seller. EDITED 10-14-2019 The fan is still working perfectly after several longer trips and outings. For reference, the cooler I installed it in is an older Igloo Koolmate 36, which, as noted above, is not the make or model the part was designed for. There were modifications required to make it work.
