Chippewa Men's 17" Mocc-Toe Pull-On 23909 Snake Boot

I have own several pairs snake proof boots (i.e. Justin, Game Winner, and Rockys), by far these Chippewa boots are the best... For being very expensive pair of boots, they are worth every penny and money well spend...The boots are very stiff due to the double layers of leather, so it requires some break-in time... To help the break-in process along I've been using Montana Pinch Blend Leather Dressing, plus wearing them every chance I can after work... These boots are also keep your feet warm and dry during the coldest days of winter when worn with heavyweight merino wool socks... Can't wait till for spring turkey season so I can wear them out at the farm...By then the boots should be fully broken-in and ready for next deer season...

Great boots! They fit a bit larger than expected, but I ordered a slightly larger size for room for wool hunting socks. They look and feel great!

These boots are roomy but I expected that from some other reviews. I just wear heavy socks. Haven't had any snake strikes so they aren't field tested by me. I have no doubt they will work as intended. I would buy them again but I have a feeling I won't need to. I feel confident that I won't have to test a friendship by asking someone to suck on my feet. I am sure not to stoup down until I have kicked the brush. If I get bit on my butt.....well lets just say that these boots can only protect you so much. They are heavy. I'm getting used to them but I wouldn't want to go on any long hike with them.

Good looking boots that can be worn for any type of outdoor activity. Also, very suprised at how fast the boots were shiped to me.

great boots !have tried em all, and these are the best you can buy in my opinion.Theyre hot, but that is expected when you have that much leather on.They run large, and they are the only ones I can fit my calves into comfortably and still tuck in my jeans.I probably wont out live thee boots.

They seem really well made and should stop a snake bite. Only had them for a full day when I snagged the top buckle on a piece of pipe. Snapped it in two and cut the leather. Chippewa did send a set of cheap nickel replacement buckles but it would have been cool to send originals. Top of the foot break-in is taking a while but I think in the next few weeks they will be perfect.Update (9-4-19)So I was never able to break in the upper for these boots. I wore them for about three weeks straight and it still felt like two marbles were digging into either side of the top of my foot. Basically where the seams Bad when I walked but worse when I would sit for a little bit. Took them to be stretched and that made them slightly better. Never had this kind of problem breaking in a pair of boots.

Very solid boot! They seem like they will last a couple lifetimes. Requires break in! I would not want to pull these out of the box and go on a 10 hour hike. I feel like I work at a Brazilian steakhouse when I wear them. They should come with a large sword with steak on it.

Expensive but very high quality. I cut off the Indian Chief patches as I'm planning to wear these mostly with my Jedi costume.
